Very pretty space. Coffee and breakfast sandwich were...okay, not what I was expecting given the beautiful ambience, high quality espresso machine, etc. Maybe I got them on an off day.

This is a lovely coffee shop in the little town called Mayville! It's bright and inviting! The baristas were friendly and welcoming! I ordered the Caprese Grilled Cheese sandwich. It was a delicious and gooey panini style mozzarella sandwich served with pickled carrots, string beans, & pickle. Yummy! The apple pie pastry is also delightful. The pastry is flaky and is like a snickerdoodle. My favorite!!! The apple pie willing is delectable too!

We are currently on a quest to experience as many small independently owned coffee shops this summer. The Open Door Coffeehouse was our 3rd coffee shop we've hit so far. Their website mentions that they provide mentoring programs to the community and it piqued our curiosity.Right when you walk in, we were pleasantly surprised by their "Family Resource Hub" which shows their calendar, specials, local programs, and a fun summer bucket list. In addition, there was also a "Pay it Forward" board where community members can purchase items for mutuals or others. This was so cool . . . But how was the food and drink? We are here you to tell you . . . It was good! The food presentation was super cute and their drinks were tasty.

First time here, and wasn't sure what to expect since the pics currently available looked a little less than fantastic. However, they have made some major updates (one of the employees said they have moved locations within the last year, so maybe the pics were all from their old place), and it's quite nice now. I needed a place to work remotely while in Horicon, and this made for a pleasant day's work. Good coffee, friendly employees, great local feel, and they seem to be working towards a good cause!

Should service people in a orderly fashion not make orders as you please by the people you know. Being a new costumer and watching others have their drinks made before ours was extremely RUDE. I would rate this place 4.5 otherwise but not with the service they gave on not a busy time.

Great little coffee shop. Lots of seating. Super relaxed and chill in side. Very clean and bright. They have espresso ice cubes which is great for the warm days to not water down your drink.I will be back next time I'm in the area.

Open Door Coffee made for a wonderful pit stop on our way home from an event around Horicon Marsh. Before arriving, I had not realized this was a nonprofit community-run coffeeshop, and I was even more excited to be spending my money here when I discovered this. The space itself is warm and welcoming with amazing coffee from Luna Coffee Roasters to boot. The website for Open Door exudes positivity and community focus. I only wish I lived closer so I could participate in their fantastic programming!

A very positive experience! My daughter and I had tasty sandwiches (caprese grilled cheese and grilled veggie) and coffee drinks there on a Saturday afternoon... Even though there was only one employee handling everything at the time, he was friendly and helpful.Very spacious inside, very welcoming... kids area in the middle, games in the back, all sorts of varied seating areas. Even the bathrooms were nice. We would go there again!P.S. For some reason, we couldn't find it at first with Google maps.... It's under the big word "May" on the upper story of the building.

The Open Door is a terrific spot for coffee and lunch. Sandwiches are quite tasty and very reasonably priced. They also come with a side of slightly spicy pickled vegetables that were a nice complement to the sandwich. Highly recommended when you are Mayville or the Horicon Marsh area.

Such a warm and welcoming new location while offering delicious drinks, food and snacks. We enjoy a quick breakfast on the weekdays before work or a place to hang out and decompress after school with our sons. This place is a treasure in Mayville.
