My husband and I had an incredible stay at the Muse. The home is beautiful and has so much character and Mary Ellen certainly has a gift for making a space feel full of warmth and personality. Our room was incredibly comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious, filling, beautiful, and unique. The location is also great, as it's a quick Uber to the heart of downtown or to the airport, and a very short walk to lots of fun bars. I also recommend a longer walk to St Josaphat Basilica, which was recommended by Mary Ellen and also some other guests. It was probably the most beautiful church I've seen in the US. This place is an absolute steal, and staying here made our relaxing and adventurous weekend away even more memorable.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our room was comfortable and larger than expected. The breakfast was amazing and filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. Mary Ellen was welcoming and made us feel right at home. The location was in walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops, and it was very easy to drive downtown. We had a great time exploring Milwaukee!

The perfect last night of our little honeymoon!! My wife and I enjoyed staying at this gorgeous B&B so much we are definitely coming back soon! The house is gorgeous with so much attention to tiniest detail like cotton balls and makeup remover in the bathroom to the holiday themed napkin holders. Mary Ellen and Andrew are such a wonderful couple. They made us feel at home from the moment we walked in.The breakfast that Andrew prepared exceeded our expectations of the B&B breakfast by far! French toast was an artistic masterpiece of culinary guru Andrew, only to be topped by an abundance of art surrounding eclectic breakfast setting. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to all of our friends! 6 starts out of 5!

This B&B is one of a kind! I highly recommend staying here if you are in Milwaukee. The rooms are unique and display local artists work. The owner Mary is very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The breakfast was super delicious, and filling. Within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Nice neighborhood, with plenty to do. Onsite parking which is always a bonus. We are looking forward to coming back.

Maria and Andrew are awesome! The room is homy and full of details! Cause we just arrived the day after Easter, we were surprised by all the decor. And even the kitchen and bathroom towels are with Easter greetings! It is a truly art gallery. The house is full of fine art pieces and also decorated diligently! They matched the wall pain color with the crystal light/lamp perfectly. Maria and Andrew even hung a crystal on the window, so that when the sunset is coming, the whole room will be decorated with colorful crystal reflections. Maria and Andrew are super! The story between them are very touching. We think they bring the magic to the world, and we adore them so much! Ohhh, I need to mention the food. We had different kinds of breakfast every morning. They are all so so so good. The quiche Mary made is the very best one I've ever tasted! It's our honor to be the first Asian guests of the Muse! Highly recommended!

Our stay at The Muse was superb. Mary Ellen was an awesome host and made us feel so welcomed. The location is great! A 1-2 minute walk to restaurants and coffee houses. We had lunch one day at Centraal which was very good. We wanted to try a few more restaurants but already had family commitments to attend. We definitely plan on returning to the Muse in the near future and look forward to trying the other local restaurants. Lastly, we stayed in the Cheryl room which had the private bathroom just outside the room. This was no problem at all as we still felt very comfortable and it was still very convenient. Cute room, comfortable bed, and overall a wonderful place to stay. Oh yeah, the breakfasts were tasty, filling and set me up for the rest of my day!! A must stay!Excellent value and quality.

Yep - another 5 star rating for The Muse! Mary Ellen and Andrew are doing it right in every possible way. From the excellent pre-visit communication to the super thoughtful to-go breakfast (because we left super early) they've got the B&B thing DOWN. The Muse is uber clean, VERY comfortable, and they've thought of so many little touches to make their guests feel special: two brownies in the room upon arrival, red and white wine available in the common area, gorgeous art adorning almost every wall (available for purchase, but not "pushed"), early check in afforded so we could watch the Ryder Cup on TV, a wide enough pedistal sink to set toilettries on, etc. We've had a couple of not-so-great B&B experiences of late, and our stay at The Muse restored our confidence in B&Bs - it's just perfect: no doilies, no dust, no excessive knick knacks, just a perfect stay with perfect hosts. We'll definitely be back - if for no other reason than we can't wait to experience the REAL Muse breakfast on site someday soon. If you find yourself in Milwaukee looking for a fabulous meal - check out Morel. Yet another reason to visit Milwaukee: Who Knew??

The Muse is a shower of luxury and delight. The breakfasts are as beautiful as they are delicious. The rooms are gorgeously furnished and comfortable. The hosts are affable and fun. Art is everywhere. I stayed here in winter of 2019 and loved it; I just stayed again in fall of 2020 and felt utterly safe with the many precautions taken due to COVID. I would choose this place over a hotel any day.

I am from San Francisco and I stayed at The Muse and I can't say enough good things. After my bubble bath in the jetted tub I went to sleep in a super comfy bed! I am a world wide traveler and I can honestly say this place is one of my favorites. Mary Ellen is the best. Her graciousness met me with a beautiful sangria with fresh fruit. The breakfasts were beyond delicious. After a week in Wisconsin all I have eaten is fried fish and fried cheese an fried.....well the muse had such a fresh breakfast! This trip I have stayed in 5 hotels and this was the favorite. I am truly a hotel snob and really value cleanliness service and comfortability. The muse will always be remembered Thank you Mary Ellen !!
