Thank you, The Micro, for upping the State Fair's craft beer game! The Micro is great for checking out Wisconsin State craft brew pints and flights, relaxing in seats, watching some sports on TV, raffles and giveaways, general crowd friendliness, and if you Kill the Keg you'll be as famous as Norm on Cheers. Potosi, MobCraft, Tyranena, Hinterland, Lakefront, MKE Brewing Co. and more! The beer choices range from the routinely available to limited availability. You might get some raffle tix with your purchase for giveaways on the 30s. My son likes getting a Sprecher Rootbeer, and we can belly up and cool off while watching some sports, or take it to go and enjoy the Fair with nice drinks in our hands. I see that one reviewer said this place was open outside of the Fair, and I would definitely stop in for that. Cheers to the Micro!

I previously patronized State Fair Park once per year. Maybe. But NOW, with the Micro, I end up here more often, and sometimes when there isn't even anything else going on in the park! Those are actually kinda the best, cause you can park RIGHT THERE inside the park by the Micro. It's not open all the time, just during the Fair and random other occasions. The Micro is fun. They have a good selection of beers - almost exclusively from WI. I think I'm turning into a bit of a beer snob (hubs is actually a for sure beer snob at this point) because when I go to beer festivals and "craft beer" anything, I want to see beers and breweries I can't get all the time. The Micro isn't that. I've heard of and/or had most of them most of the time. Oh well, it's still better than your average stanky-line Miller product on tap.Um, it's always crowded. Always. Lock a table or seat down as soon as you find it. They actually have a small snack box if you need to bulk up your drinking base, but it won't sober you up. Fair prices...meaning State Fair prices, not reasonable prices. There's something going on over to the side called Flight School. I don't know what goes on over there - we just always jump into full pints head first. You get a t-shirt if you Kill A Keg (that's pride, baby). I've also been there when raffling is happening. Mostly brewery swag, but let's be honest, we all want more brewery swag. They're doing a great job finding reasons to open the Micro for one off occasions outside of the State Fair as well. I'm looking forward to drinking at the Micro in my snowpants in January.

Top-notch stop at the state fair. They serve up the biggest best selection of craft beer at the Wisconsin State Fair. The staff is quick, friendly, and extremely fun to chat with. They do a lot of fun activities throughout the fair including making a big announcement if you tap a keg which was so fun!

*** to the tune of the Cheers theme song ***Making your way through the fair today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all the fried foods, a burp would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to kill a keg? So go to The Micro!Where someone just might know your name, and on TV there's a game. You wanna beer that don't taste like pee, the flavors aren't all the same Kill a keg then everybody'll knowyour name.***The Micro is where beer lovers rejoice at the Wisconsin State Fair. It's also a nice respite from the swirling, deep-fried madness on a stick that is the Fair. In a pub-like setting, it's a good place to pull up a stool, try a Wisconsin craft beer and check in on the game. If you're lucky, get the last glass of beer from a keg and get a KEG KILLER t-shirt along with the enduring admiration of your fellow swillers. They even have wi-fi.The Micro. My favorite hangout at the Wisconsin State Fair. Cheers!

Love this addition to State Fair grounds! They have all the best local craft beer on tap instead of the boring big name beers. I was able to order my favorite Hazy IPA to enjoy and while we were there they were making announcements left and right on people tapping the kegs. If you tap a Keg they call you out and give you a t-shirt, which is a fun addition and keeps the atmosphere lively. Plus it's a covered pavilion and very nice to step out of the sun for a moment. I will for sure be frequenting the Micro any time I'm at Wisconsin State Fair!

Milwaukee: where Miller Lite flows freer than the tap waterAnd even water - unless you're braving the festival bubbler - generally isn't free at larger-scale events: think your ethnic and street festivals, your Summerfest, the State Fair... it's easier to hunt down a Miller Lite at any one of these events than it is to snag water, generally speaking. MY POINT IS THAT MILLER LITE IS EVERYWHERE AT ALL THE OUTDOOR THINGS ALL SUMMER LONGenter: the Micro at State Fair - a sweet, sweet hang dedicated to Wisconsin craft beer, period. Lakefront! Central Waters! MKE Brewing! Leinie's! New Glarus! Point! (The list goes on... )6.50 for a Miller Lite/High Life7.50 for anything at the Micro Tent... you do the math!Plus, it's a great spot to hang and if you "kill the keg" you win a t-shirt and the bartenders draw an obscene amount of attention to you.

A nice place to get out of the sun at State Fair. A nice selection of delicious beer. The Micro has a large amount of seating, high tables with 4 bar stools, and I have always been able to find a seat. The beer is $7.50 each, which is pricey for a glass of beer. However, a Miller Lite or Coors sells for $6.50 at the fair. I'd rather pay a dollar more for a much better beer.

Awesome beers and decent prices for at the fair. The staff is fairly knowledge and are willing to chat if not too busy.
