The Mecca Sports Bar and Grill

We came here for a big football championship game, and while the big TV screens were great, they wouldn't play the sound which was a bummer. The place is huge and was quite empty on this cold Friday night, but our drinks and apps were good and came out quickly. My spicy margarita was tasty and fresh, and we also got the buffalo wings, boom boom shrimp, and cheese curds. All on the smaller side but great fried apps!

If you take anything from this review, please let it be to order the strawberry shortcake cocktail!! It was truly one of my favorite drinks I've had in Milwaukee. My fiancé and I went to The Mecca for the first Thursday night NFL game. It's such a fun atmosphere with great food and drinks. We split the Caesar salad and sampler platter. We loved the variety of apps that come with the combo. We both loved the cheese curds most. Definitely check out the Mecca whenever you need a spot to watch a game and enjoy some drinks & food!

This is an unfair rating for the waitress who helped us. However, after 1 hour elapsed since placing our order, it hard to even give 1 star. Food arrived cold,incorrect and half of the order arrived 15 minutes after the first half. A bit embarrassed to have ever hyped this place up or decided to bring my friends and family here. Huge miss and honestly disappointing beyond giving them a second chance. Will not be back and I would not recommend ordering food here.

Overall thoughts: DO NOT COME HERE! trust me!We waited 45 minutes to be seated before Celtics vs bucks game when we saw multiple open tables available. We reached our booth and the light above us felt like we were in a chemistry lab or a police interrogation room making it hard for us to view the game without being blinded. Our server was getting drinks and food orders wrong and sending drinks to other tables along with not providing our bill in a timely manner. DO NOT EVER TRY THEIR FOOD! The smoked chicken looked like ham and smelled gross on top of the nachos and the burgers were undercooked and red inside and did not smell like meat. The fries were not edible either and tasted freezer burned. The Caesar salad dressing did not smell or taste like it either. It was the worst bar experience I have had in milwaukee and I hope you can save your money by avoiding their food and overpriced drinks at all cost!

Good food. They would not seat us in bar because tables needed bused even after I asked to watch a football game on big screen. The hostess didn't care. Left early so we could watch the rest of game better.

After a recent concert we walked across the plaza to have dinner at Mecca. We had drinks at the bar while we waited for our table. The old fashioned was quite good. We waited about 45 minutes for a table; we must have gotten there right as the restaurant filled up because we were only about the 3rd party on the list. My son is on a mission to try the cheese curds everywhere that has them. He thought Mecca's were fine if nothing special. Both he and my husband had burgers and felt they were just basic burgers. I had the turkey wrap and was underwhelmed. Our waitress seemed distracted? Inattentive? My husband asked for ketchup for his fries and it took 15 minutes for her to come back with it. She said she was bringing refills of our sodas but never came back with them. When we were ready to pay our check so we could leave my husband actually had his credit card ready to give her before we even had the bill - we were afraid we might not see her again for a long time if we waited for her to drop the check and come back again. Mecca is an easy option if you're going to Fiserv for an event but I wouldn't seek it out otherwise.

If you love the Bucks and you want to have a pre game eat. This is it! This is where you go. You can see Fiserv out the window. The huge screen tvs throughout play the games on at the time and the interior is open and spacious.So we came 1-1/2 hrs before the game and they sold out of mostly everything we wanted. The manager was so nice and comped us because of this. I'm talking even French fries turned into tater tots.no veggie burger, there were a few othersAnyways: we didn't really care cuz we ate and had some drinks and got to go see our team If you come here at a non game time you will not have this. I cannot imagine storing that much food before a game to not run out. I'm cutting them some slack and of course we will be back again cuz we always do!

Stopped by for a drink after the Bucks game. Hostess stand was very overwhelmed. We stood in line at the bar and sat in the stadium seating. The big TVs were awesome. The drink was ok but things seemed hectic and disorganized. I think I'd only return on a non-game day to enjoy a better experience.

The cheese curds and my Moscow mule were great. The server was pretty cool too! Good place to see the tree

Food menu small and had the burger and chicken sandwich and nothing memorable would just come back to drink and watch the game.
