I have been very happy with everything I've purchased here. I grind my own hamburger from their steak ends and it is so good. Recently I purchased their clam chowder soup and just added some extra potatoes I was impressed and will definitely buy it again. Their gyro meat is also really good. I break down the big packages and freeze the small ones along with pitas. Just add tzaki sauce for a quick weeknight meal.

Read that this place offers good quality meat and it isn't too far from my home. It's not a big store and the liquor section is in the back. Lots of frozen and fresh meat. Got a couple bag of cheese curds but they are hard to break into pieces since it was vacuum-sealed. I didn't taste any mango in the mango habanero curds. May go back for meat when I got room in the freezer.

Hidden in the industrial park of Middleton's east side, this is an absolute gem if you are looking for a large variety of meats and cheeses that are locally sourced. There is a large selection of both frozen and fresh meats available in both bulk and for personal consumption. One of the highlights of this place is the continually weekly rotating "Deals of the Week." There is normally several selections of meat (beef, poultry, and fish) and at least one selection of cheese. They also have a modest selection of beer, wine, and liquors in the store with surprisingly good prices (some of the beer is more expensive than other places, but I have found great prices on bourbon here).

If Costco and your favorite butcher had a child together, it would be UW Provisions. It's for the wholesaler but also non-bulk consumer-friendly. It's a great secret in Middleton.BEEF: One of the best selections of frozen and fresh meat that I've seen in town. There's a drop freezer with items from sausages to single packed steaks to grass fed burger patties and even things like liver and oxtail. Right next to you, there's an endless cooler of bulk packed meat products. They have a nice selection of summer sausages, bulk beef sticks (pieces and ends for $3.99/lb), and jerky. Across the aisle where they have their big green egg display, there's a huge selection of fresh beef - from beef ribs to PSMO to all the steaks you could dream of. Quality is fine, not exceptional.OTHER MEAT (and fish): They have a nice variety of chicken - large boxes of cuts or even nuggets. They have frozen goose and other game birds. They also have a decent frozen fish selection. There's a wine shop in back. They have frozen soups. They have smoking equipment and supplies. Bacon, bacon, bacon. The best part is the prices - they are great to begin with, and there are a million specials going on.

We've been here 3 times now for their cooler sale. The first time was crazy and hectic but since then it's been a LOT better (probably because they spread it out over a couple of days now). Going here twice a year stocks us up on almost all the meat we need, and the prices are great so it saves us a ton of money. Will definitely continue to come for their cooler sales!!!

It's very out of the way if you live on the east side, but UW Provision is great if you have a chest freezer. It's basically a meat shop where you can get bulk quantities of meat for cheap. If there's a specialty meat (like goat) or cut you want, you can even call ahead and they can prepare it for you (within reason). Check their website for weekly specials. I recently got 20 lbs of pork shoulder there for $1.29/lb.

Meat is good. Bit pricey for the very fatty cut of short ribs that we got. Your store is very clean and your staff is very friendly. Will still try you again the next time we need to buy a large quantity of meat and will update this review as appropriate on terms of quality vs. price.

Been going there for 40 years. The beef has gone downhill big time. Bought a cow tenderloin whole. Normally I buy steers. This was $10 per pound and it was dog food, couldn't cut it with a brand new steak knife, chew and spit. I've cooked over 250,000 steaks in my career and this was the worst meat. I blame the beef council for producing grass fed crap. All profit motivated! I'm consuming more pork and chicken. Beef just is horrible in this country big time Boycott beef, at least US beef!

I was at the store on crutches and asked an employee to open a package. I said I wasn't interested, and he placed it in my cart anyways. I didn't see it because my son was pushing the cart; I asked him to go to the register to wait for me while I grabbed a drink. Another employee promptly rang him up and I didn't even realize it. I got outside and saw the item in the cart. I immediately tried to return it, and they had locked the doors. I messaged them immediately and they will not do anything about it! What a waste of $40!!!

Picked up the FRESH turkey and it felt frozen. He said just the outer was frozen. When ordering I asked if it was frozen at all and he said NO. I asked to be reassured to make sure it was never frozen at all. Said NO. Really thought we were getting a fresh turkey since you had to order it. It was not from WI. I could have gone somewhere else and got my frozen Turkey cheaper. I am pissed and I think you should have stated that the outer part of the Turkey is frozen just like the ones in the big stores are. What a rip off this was!! Told me it was their cooler. I am to smart for that as their hamburger does not freeze.
