The Machine Shed - Appleton

Great food for that home Style comfort. The Service was great and servers are very attentive. Ambiance is lively. They have a cute store to buy anything from books to treats.

This was an interesting place to go. It's absolutely huge. It has a gift shop where you enter as well as a bakery where you can buy pies. And for as big as it was, it was pretty much empty. We called ahead since we had a big party and they accommodated us just fine, but we didn't even need to call ahead. They put two round tables together which wasn't the best setup but it worked. The bread they gave us was really good and you got several different types. Very very good breads baked fresh and hot. They also give you coleslaw and cottage cheese for everyone to share. The coleslaw was pretty good and the cottage cheese just plain. Not many of us ate either so it was kind of a waste as they put down about three bowls of each for our large group, one each would have been enough. More bread tho!! (which they brought out without being prompted).I got the prime rib with a sweet potato and broccoli. It was pretty average, nothing to write home about. Girlfriend got the ribs with fries and they were also pretty average. Kids got kids meals and had no complaints. The service was fantastic. Our server worked hard and was very attentive. She did an excellent job. The coolest part was probably all the antique tractors outside. Plenty of spots for all the kids to get their instagram selfies. Including some farm animal statues.

I was staying at Doubletree down the street and wanted to try. I ordered the the stuffed porkWith veggies. Pork was very drying and chewy. Not a great experience. I will not be back too manyOther good options in Appleton.

I was staying in town for work and decided to stop in The Machine Shed for lunch. I travel all over for work but I'm from Iowa and this restaurant gave me the "small town" vibe which was very refreshing and homey. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant and water is served in Masson jars which I thought was really cute. I had the Southwest Chicken Salad and it was probably one of the best Southwest Chicken Salads I've had in a long time. The chicken was cooked and seasoned soo perfectly and the salad was fresh and crunchy. If I get sent here again for work I'll be stopping by.

had a group of twelve & they took a last minute reservation to get us in- were seated in 15 min. The food took awhile to get out however was so good! We all got brunch & would recommend their hasbrowns, pankakes, mimosas, and bloody Mary's! They have a large variety menu! 10/10 would come back again!

Although they have a delicious dinner menu, my wife and I really enjoy their breakfast! I enjoy the country style atmosphere. The staff is great!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in America. Not because the food is so fantastic (although it's really good), not because it's new and trendy, not because of who eats there, but because it is one of the last great American farm to table, heartland restaurants. The food is excellent, all midwestern staples that many of us grew up on, the atmosphere has that same farm inspired mid America, country feel and every time I've been here, the staff is great. Appleton has some great restaurants, but for me, no visit is complete without a stop at the Machine Shed.

Excellent food choices for the all you care to eat brunch on Sunday. Went there before GB Packer game. It was reasonably priced ($18). I didn't have to eat the rest of the day.

Absolute perfection! The portions are gigantic and the pricing is very reasonable. Highly suggest the cinnamon roll and the country fried steak.

Missed breakfast at 11:04. Mary enjoyed here chicken pot pie. My potato skins with cheese and brisket were a good meal. Pretty nice service and food. The place was almost empty which surprised us.
