Interesting interior and the service was really efficient. Food OK. Cheese curds are not cheese curds, they are deep fried cubes of Munster. They are decent, but not curds. The fish sandwich was dependent but visually, not so great... what's with the square, thin flavorless piece of melted American Cheese on the very square fried fish... ala a McDonalds Filet-O- Fish. The "cheese" added nothing as it was flavorless and visually not speaking. Salads were nice but a bit on the spendy side. Fish sandwich with coleslaw or fries was 15 bucks. Cosmo was 10 bucks. So altogether with a tip... fish sandwich, one drink, cheese cubes and a salad was $70.Food wasn't terrible... but it just didn't feel like a $70 experience. All in all it was a shoulder shrug.

We came here for the Mother's Day brunch menu. We had a reservation which we had to pay $2/person for in advance. We sat at our table for nearly 30 minutes before waters were even brought out. They forgot one of our drinks and brought half our appetizers out with the meal. There was about a ten minute lag between when half the tables food came as well which creates an awkward experience. The food overall at the table was below average, room temperature and overpriced. The cheese curds were excellent though. I'm curious if the normal menu is better? I will say that my breakfast sandwich was pretty good but the others at the table didn't enjoy their meals much. This was a very disappointing experience for Mother's Day. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We didn't go up to the rooftop seating area but it looks lovely.

This place has the potential to be great. It's a shame really, beautiful restaurant and brewery. Staff is knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. Sadly the cook isn't up to par. Fish Sandwich overcooked, prime rib dip also overcooked. Not just a little but a lot. The ambiance is fun and relaxed. I just had such high hopes.

Stopped in after a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon. We love the one up in waunakee but it's kinda far for us so glad to have one here in Madison. The beer was delicious I had the Love train, great IPA it was so good I went for seconds. Same with the pizza so good we had to get another one. We just ordered the sauce pie with shredded mozzarella essentially a cheese pizza then we got the Sausage Thyme pizza to go both were excellent. I'm more of a red sauce gal which had visible chucks of tomato. Can't wait to go back and try more pizza and enjoy more delicious beers on tap. We sat on the patio and my toddler loved waving to the pedestrians and people watching. They had a couple tvs in the bar and some gambling machines including pull tabs. 5/5 recommend if you like pizza and beer!

Beer was good thats what earned the stars for me.The food was way to expensive for the price and what you get for it, very sad just moved here and was looking forward to it, but probably wont be back anytime soon.

Service was not great, actually went to the bar to get a drink after waiting for 15 minutes for a server to stop by.Ordered fish because it's Friday night and was sad to see that the walleye that was $22 came out burnt and inedible. Such a waste!

This is not the first time my husband and I have come to The Lone Girl because he likes the beer. We walked in and sat at one of the tables by the bar since the bar was full. We waited about 5 minutes and no server came to our table so I went to the bar to order drinks. I waited while the bar tender was helping another customer. I continued to stand and wait at the bar while the bar tender emptied the dishwasher and talked with other staff members. I even waived my hand to get his attention with no luck. After another 5-10 minutes of waiting I gave up and my husband and I left. This is not the first time the service has sucked here.

Menu is limited and there are very few draft beers available. Serving sizes on main menu items have been small sized and beer glasses are dirty.

Stopped in Tuesday evening of their "soft open". Taps weren't working yet but that's why places soft open, so no worries. Canned beer was still very good and service was excellent and very friendly. But the pizza...oh boy is the pizza good. Got the spicy pepp and it's different than any pizza I've had before. On an almost focaccia like crust, crispy on the outside but soft inside. Cooked perfectly with plenty of toppings. Really excellent, this is going to be dangerous to have so close by. Impressed that they found a way to offer a unique take on something as ubiquitous as pizza.
