So localWe've had two recent visits. Tried to stop over a year ago but had a long wait. Anyways, what a fantastic spot in the oddest location. Definitely the go to for New Berlin and Muskego folk. Solid eats, started with the curds and had the fish fry on both stops. Great service and a nice selection of drinks. Didn't feel rushed at all, noise level is not too bad, even with a full house. Need to try some other menu items but the fish is just so good!

Great fish fry! I had the baked cod with bread crumbs and spices; it was delicious. My husband had fried perch which was also extremely good. The fish was light even though it was fried. The potato pancakes were tasty and not greasy. Coleslaw was above average. Good service, too. The two slices of marble rye were small but just the right size. The only negative was the noise level. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing and the service was awesome. I will definitely be ordering the screaming strawberry wings again.

A night out with friends worth writing about! A Chinese staple on a pizza, bourbon hunters foundation in a sour, and a slice of cake that will provide three nights satisfaction for the most demanding sweet tooth! The Crab Rangoon pizza, an oriental appetizer on an Italian staple, who would have imagined...so good. The Buffalo Trace Sour, a real challenger for the traditional Wisconsin old fashion, you will not have just one!And finally, the red velvet cake (to go) will absolutely end up on your social media timeline..it is a surprise you need to witness for yourself. This is a must visit, if it is a weekend night you will be challenged for a parking spot, and the late wait is worthy of at least one Buffalo Trace Sour.

Praise for The Local in Waukesha! My wife a former Wisconsinite found this terrific restaurant while we were visiting from California. We greeted the moment we entered and were seated quickly. The staff is friendly and the food was terrific! Lucky to have come in on Fish Fry Friday - and I indulged.My wife kept it light with a chicken Cesar Salad, but we also tried the arugula/fig/prosciutto flatbread. Yum! Our waitress was friendly and really seemed to enjoy talking to her customers. Working in customer service/hospitality myself that's great to see! The Local is doing something very right - recommend it highly!

Wow the biggest and lightest fresh pretzel with specialty cheese such as beer, raspberry and everything bagel! Big enough for 4 people.Friendly and great service too!

Service: always greeted quickly and seated when I visit for weekday lunch. Great service throughout.Food: their Nashville Hot Chicken is quite good and a typical go to. I've also tried specials, burgers and salads, all delicious. Ambiance: casual and bit of a sports bar feel with multiple TVs to watch games.

Stopped in for Friday Fish Fry. Great Service and good food, will definitely be back.

Small and friendly Wisco bar. Amazing Burger! And the pizzas look pretty bomb (_|_) as well. Spotted cow on draft goes perfect with any food option. Bar or restaurant seating available.

We always get a large pizza extra mushrooms, garlic, we'll done. Yum! Fun to hang around with friends at the bar and watch a game. Always crowded but welcoming.
