The Lafayette Place

Took a group of Omni friends to this spot. They have a great brunch and lunch menu. I got the vegan brekkie samy. It was so good. My wife let me try her sloppy joe. The sauce was chef kiss. I also had a chocolate chip muffin. So good. My Omni friends said they liked it so much they're coming back. Staff was friendly and very helpful to answer all our questions. 100% recommended

Nestled in the lower east side of Milwaukee, The Lafayette Place serves up amazing vegan brunch fare.We recently stopped by on a Saturday morning. Though an intimate space, we were able to find a spot immediately right by the window (lovely!). Their space is chic and comfortable. We started our morning with their oatmilk cafe au lait, which was comfort in a cup. So yum. One thing to note is that though they have some delicious coffee options, they don't have espresso drinks. Not that we were bothered, just a note!For my breakfast, I got the cheesy hash which was an absolutely flavor explosion. It was so tasty and over-the-top delicious with just the right amount of heat. It's a tasty combination of their house potatoes, roasted veggies, vegan chorizo, melted violife cheese, avocado & avocado chipotle sauce. It's also served with a side of toast (which was hearty and delicious). The service is some of the best in the city. Seriously. They're so lovely in here.Get to it!

This sandwich is not only the best vegan breakfast sandwich in Milwaukee but one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The amount of guacamole and chipotle sauce was the perfect ratio to hashbrown and impossible sausage. This order was easy to pick up but I'm excited to try more menu items in their cute and cozy dining area!

First time having breakfast at The Lafayette Place and it was quite tasty and satisfying. I ordered the cheezy hash and the vegan jam and butter goes beautifully with the toast that accompanies the hash. It's sure to keep you full and happy for a while! Excellent service and I'm very glad to see the former Celesta site continue the trend of flavorful vegan fare. Also, there's outside seating to enjoy, weather permitting!

My only complaint is that I was too full to order everything off the menu!!! I ordered the breakfast sammie. All of the options sounded so good- it truly was a tough choice. My friend ordered the veggie melt with a cup of soup, which is her usual go to (she claims it's the best thing on tbe menu!) I ordered an oatmeal crème pie to take home, but ended up eating half of there! My friend got a carrot muffin that was super moist and flavorful. The ambiance was light and welcoming, and the servers were so cheerful. I left super full, which was the perfect excuse to take a nice nap to be the cherry on top to this great Sunday. Check it out and don't let it being a vegan menu stop you from checking it out. Packed with flavor and extremely craveable.

So this is the place you take that friend who thinks vegan is for losers. Only couch it as sustainable yum. When they tell you to try the hot sauce, do it.

I could not love this place more. The food was very good. The smell of cooking and greasy spoon did not exist (you don't leave smelling gross). The flavors were all there. I want this all of the time. Service was great. Never change anything.

Best vegan food in Milwaukee! I loved the breakfast burrito. It's pretty small inside so I prefer to order takeout but the ambiance is nice if you don't mind a wait.

I can't stop raving to anyone who will listen to me about the cold brew old fashioned cocktail! Brunch had never been better since that thing was invented. Talk about a Milwaukee thing.. All of the food is amazing. All of the food is vegan. All of the food is worth trying and as an Omni person I can assure you that this ain't your grandmas vegan diner. It's a tiny place as it always has been but they do a good job of fitting everyone in fairly comfortably. Not sure if they take reservations but highly recommend you get one if possible. They also offer takeout which may be the way to go.

Wonderful vegan restaurant with lots of great options! The staff was also so nice and helpful! I got the cheesy hash and it was so good, great portion size and the flavors were spot on. And the amount of potatoes was just right!! We also got a coffee cake and cinnamon roll to split and both were equally delicious!
