The Hive Taproom

Stopped by for a quick lunch and service was wonderful with great ambiance. We ordered a flight to try their different Meads and overall the meads were on the lighter side but still good. Pizza was fresh and delicious as well.

We were really impressed by how much we loved the mead! This isn't your standard mead - it's not high ABV and super sweet - it's bubbly, light, and refreshing (and gluten free). It reminded us of cider we had in France! So, so good.The service was wonderful and so friendly - the bartender Ellie explained the meads and poured us samples before we settled on a flight. They have a gorgeous interior with a stage for live music, but it was nice out so we enjoyed our drinks on the patio. We took home some mead to go! We'll definitely be back.

Went there on a Saturday night. The music was great. They only serve mead. It's a wine beer concoction that not everyone has a taste for. Even if you don't drink there are not many options, seltzer water or some strange non alcoholic beverage flavor. WHY NOT offer normal beer and wine TOO !!!!! Not everyone likes Mead The people are very friendly and helpful.

Very quaint little brewery nestled in a countryside setting. Most all of their ales and mead are made with pure Wisconsin honey. The hives are "on property." Many flavors of mead to choose from... You can order a flight (which consists of four small samplers) in case you're in experimental stage. Otherwise you can order the full size beverage. They also sell their beverages and 16 ounce cans, which the bottle on premises. The staff is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have. They also serve pretzels and flatbreads to satisfy your hunger needs. A lot of room, outside seating inside and out. Some nights they have local entertainment. Definitely a return trip.

I visited the Hive back in Oct 2021. It has a great community feeling and staff were very friendly. I liked my flight of mead and left with a 4 pack of the samples I tried. I would return and would encourage others to visit, especially considering how unique it is specializing in mead. Otherwise, it has the atmosphere of a craft brewery with some food options and flights. My one gripe is the lack of Wi-Fi. My friendly bartender opined that their lack of Wi-Fi was in the interest of encouraging conversation and, perhaps, a simpler creative ambiance. That's groovy, but it also meant that I felt somewhat inconvenienced with an inability to use my iPad, including to put in the Yelp review I am now putting in months later. This aside, I'd recommend a visit.

Great place!! We spent a Saturday afternoon here and enjoyed it very much! The vibe is great, staff is friendly and knowledgeable and their meads are delicious! We each had a different flight so got to sample most of them and I didn't have one that I didn't like. I can't wait to come back and hang in the outdoor area this spring/summer!!

A refreshing & unique place. It was our first experience with mead. The bartender Amy was so patient, kind & informative. I was surprised at all the different flavor combinations, far more variety than I imagined, you are bound to find a favorite or two & the combo you like the best might surprise you. My favorite was Queen's Brew'd with a few more in a close race for second place. The atmosphere is chill & welcoming. My disabled son even felt comfortable there, that's quite the compliment- he's very picky about the energy of a place- it can't be boring but can't be obnoxious either.

We stopped here for trivia and drinks with our dog and were so happy we did! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and there was a wide variety of flavors and types of mead available. The taproom is very modern and open and it looks like they have a great patio space too for summer. We'll definitely be back again.

Great atmosphere and bartenders. My husband and I had a wonderful date there this weekend. The people really made this place amazing and the mead alcohol was super good! We will for sure be back.
