We've been meaning to stop in for diner and finally made it. I must say that walking in on a Saturday night the place was lively. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and we mentioned our reservations but that at we also were not ready to take a table but would be at the bar to get us started. The bar was crowded and we strode for our first cocktail. We started with a bourbon and brandy oldfashon but we've certainly had better. We switched over with a Tito and tonic and red wine. The wine list was short and surprisingly all the reds were from the US and only one Riesling from Germany with the balance from the US.Sitting down for dinner had nice ambiance and you could hear the pianist most of the evening. They start you off with quite a relish tray providing liver pate, cheese spread, a imataion crab salad, kidney bean salad, beet salad, and assortment of veggies. We then had salads which had a blend of lettuce. My dressing was a fair blue cheese. I also had the French onion soup which did have a very mild and nicely browned cheese topping. The soup was good with plenty of flavor along with a nice offering of browned onions. For dinner my wife had the 7oz fillet (only size offered) and I had the rack of lamb. Both dinner were enjoyed and the rack of lamb was four double cut pieces that were cooked perfectly. I would recommend this dish.Service was attentive and friendly and overall the patrons who seemed to be a regular clientele, were also friendly and we felt welcomed both at the bar and when seated for dinner.I can say this will be part of our rotation and on Sundays with the German lineup of food, you will find us there for a Sunday meal.

Note: No website or WiFi but don't let that stop you! This place in my opinion for the area was a sleeper goldmine Super Supper Club!Went on a Saturday 4:00pm at opening and we were lucky, note: make reservations a couple of days ahead to get a seat. Also note days and hours of operations. That said, Amy, our server, informative, gracious and attentive (give the girl a raise!). Can't tell you all in the NW Illinois suburb area, if you don't want to travel to Cheese Land (Wisconsin) to dine in an old time supper club, this is the place!

Crab cakes were excellent! They fill your table with salads as soon as you sit down. Our waitress Dawn has been there 38 years! They treat their employees as well as their customers.

I have been coming to the Heritage House for Years and tonight I decided to try something different, I ordered the hamburger. I must say that I've had what was supposed to be some of the best rated burgers in Chicago such as Au Cheval, Gordon Ramsey's and many more. This is the Best burger I have ever experienced! The thickness of the perfectly seasoned ground beef is unmatched on flavor, texture and served perfectly medium rare. I just wished I took a picture to post but my appetite got the best of me before I thought of taking a picture. If you're looking for an outstanding burger, look no further than the Heritage House in Harvard, IL.You won't regret your decision not to mention the great atmosphere and excellent staff.

I have been going to the Heritage House for 47 years. Every item I have ordered for dinner has been consistently outstanding! The service is unmatched, and I love the staff. Mary Pat and Dawn are so accommodating. It's like walking back in time as you enter the dining room. Prices are very reasonable for the great meals. Ambiance top notch!

This place is way overrated. You know, right off the bat, when you see the generic version of club crackers in their relish tray, that this restaurant buys the cheapest food they can find. They confirmed their cheapness by only offering Pepsi and Diet Pepsi (and not even Pepsi Zero. Restaurants that care about quality will serve Coke/DietCoke/CokeZeroDon't get the Prime Rib. Way over priced for a dry tough slab of meat. And they didn't even have Au Jus to help with the taste. A huge disappointment, after seeing their reviews.

I'll say it 100 times over - This is one of the best supper clubs around. The staff treats you like family, the ambiance is cozy and warm, and the food is always amazing. Our old fashion was strong and we got to listen to the pianist most of the night. We will be lifelong customers.
