The food and drinks were good, aside from the calamari it could have used a lighter breading. I only been once attempted to go a second time walked straight out they had a man playing the guitar with a tip jar I thought it was a fancier establishment me nor my guest like that and we are there together the first time I went . Not impressed. That's tacky it's not a coffee shop or a street bar!

Perfectly made seared foie gras. A hard thing to accomplish for many chefs and I'm from nyc and live in LA. My picky eater husband even loved it. Beautiful fresh whole fish and perfectly seasoned veggies. A wonderful salad with curried lentils! The rest is honestly a blur because we were all so delightfully happy. The first time my in-laws came they so enjoyed the live Irish music they lucked upon while dining here. For me, it really felt like being back on the Emerald Isle even without tunes to score the experience. Can't wait to come back! Hopefully we'll plan to come in a day with music too!

First let me say the food and service were very good. Our waitress was very attentive. We arrived on a Friday at 4:45 and seated immediately. We ordered a couple drinks while looking at the menu. I ordered an old fashion which tasted fine but had no garnish. Usually you get an orange slice, cherry or something. Not a big deal just an observation. Anyway, I ordered the fish fry which was quite tasty, $21. My wife ordered the linguini and clams, $25, which she said was very good. So far, a pretty good experience. Here's were the rub comes in... While we were eating the owner walked by and thanked us for dining with them. The next time he came by we were just finishing and asked how every thing was. My wife had 2 clams that did not open and according to google, they are either under cooked or bad. We expressed our concern and he assured us that they take all appropriate handling and cleaning preparations and they are perfectly fine to eat. He started to walk away and I tried to reengage him but he clearly did not want to talk about this. He then said he would talk to the chef. If they were fine at best they're under cooked, not editable for us. That's the last we heard from him. He walked by several times after that and did not acknowledge our presence. We were not looking for a free meal or desert. Maybe a couple replacement clams, how long would that take?Customer experience, not so good.

My wife and I stayed her for a weekend and it was great! The bed and the pillows were very comfortable and the flimsy pillows you normally get at hotels. The bath towels were soft, too. Their complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious as were the dinners we had each night (not complimentary, though reasonably priced). The staff were all friendly. One small caution is that the stairs up to the rooms are a bit steep and may be difficult for elderly people. I did not see an elevator anywhere either.

My wife and I chose The Fig and the Pheasant for our 25th wedding anniversary getaway, and we could not be happier with our decision. Ronna and Kevin were absolutely delightful hosts, and the food was simply incredible. We had their "Tasting Menu" dinner, and the wine and food pairings throughout the six courses were perfect. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished. An absolute gem in east-central Wisconsin!!
