The Dugout Bar & Grill

Basic bar food and atmosphere. I had the sauerkraut soup which was homemade and tasty. Big chunks of cabbage, carrots and sausage. The burgers are average. I have been here a few times and sometimes the burgers are juicy and sometimes dried out. The onion rings and fries were over cooked this time. I think for the price, you get what you pay for. Don't expect delicious but ok food. Nice cold beer!

Steak sandwich was burnt. Very dry. Usually they are good. I didn't send it back to the kitchen. Next time I won't hesitate. I think they have some new staff cooking. Hopefully they will get better.

The food was ok, wasn't thrilled or anything- there are better places for the same price. Waitress was super unfriendly and cold, didn't hand me back my card or receipt to sign, didn't offer me a pen, barely acknowledged us, and didn't even know who ordered what, and the cook was getting pissed at her. Just go somewhere else.

My wife decided we needed fish sandwiches. she decided to try the Dugout. The staff was very friendly. We had fish sandwiches, onion rings, and broccoli cheddar bites. All the food was okay. Pretty much average bar food, where most everything is deep-fried in the same big fryer. At least the fish was real fish and not a mystery patty. I'd go there again. The food is good, just nothing outstanding. Still a nice bar. Makes for a good hang out

Great food but to go order had no ketchup or sauce. Maybe my bad for not asking but i would hope if you order a $7.00 container of fries you should get sent with some dip.

Came here after reading reviews!!!! In town for a softball tournament and looking for a GOOD local eatery. If this is one of the 4* places in Manitowoc-- ID suggest you go somewhere else-- Fries that were raved about were just fries... with ranch dressing-- fish was greasy and steak sandwich was s glorified hamburger-- don't know how they get off calling it steak. To make matters worse our pitcher of beer was cool not cold. My suggestion if your looking for a good local eatery-- look somewhere else!!!

The dugout is a gem... the burgers are really good and priced very reasonably. .beats the crud out of fast food by far. . Make it a destination when in manitowoc. You will leave smiling

Good food, good people. Sour cream and chive fries with ranch dressing. YUM! It IS a bar, we don't mind bringing the kids as there's a specific "dining area", still in the bar but, so what!

their burgers are the best you will find around east central WI very nice people even their customers are very nice

This is bar food, it is good and not health food. The burgers are loaded with butter and very tasty. If you like spicy chili this is the place to get it (if you don't tell them "no noodles please" you will get short spaghetti noodles with your chili/soup). This is one of our go to places.
