The Dover Inn

Dive bar popular with the local farming community. Typical bar menu, nothing unique. I had a burger made from a frozen patty. Meh. Establishment seems to have so.e issues -inspected 3 or 4 times in the past year and received a rating of 90/100

Barely an average fish fry for this Wisconsinite! My husband had blue gill and he said it was dry b/c it was over cooked. His boiled potatoes were good and he liked the coleslaw. I on the other hand, thot the coleslaw lacked taste, very bland. I had the hand-breaded shrimp again bland! The potato pancake - again bland. The place was very loud so a regular volumed conversation could not take place.

Service was efficient and pleasant. Small town feel. Wisconsin burger and nachos supremo did not disappoint. Nice size menu with plenty of options. Friendly atmosphere and friendly people. Give it a try!!!

Excellent example of a true Midwest supper club. We went here on a Friday night and despite being crowded, we were seated right away and had excellen, fast service. The fish fry was very good. So was the broasted chicken. About the best potato pancakes I've had in a long time. They make a very good old-fashioned as well. Worth finding this place. We will go back.

The food was a disappointment. It used to be so good here but tonight it was dry, overcooked, and barely seasoned. The service was fair. The ambiance carries the weight of the two stars on this review. It was okay and the demographic here usually has great people. They also had staffing issues and had to close early.

Maybe if your gonna have an event and are expecting a bit of a crowd, staff appropriately??? Not everything was available outside, so needed to go inside - bartender never even came to our side of the bar. Was passed multiple times by a server who never acknowledged me as well. Great customer service.... thanks Don't need to come here again.

Dover Inn is an "old school " establishment. Nothing has changed here in years. Solid fish fry, portions are good. Service was great (thank you Linda).We enjoyed the enclosed patio on a beautiful Friday night

The food was really good. The bartender was young with a lot of experience. The ambience was exactly what we were looking far. We will definitely be back!
