The Dark Horse Tavern

I've stopped here a few times now during the week and have enjoyed myself each time. They have a great bar and additional seating in the back. The bartenders have always been friendly and provided great service. I learned at my last visit that this used to be a magic themed bar and I found the magic brick I think my favorite part was the artwork in the women's bathroom. I wasn't expecting to see pictures of RBG, Rosie the Riveter and Frida Kahlo to name a few of the notable women. Upon I leaving I was pleasantly surprised to learn my two craft beers came in under $10!

They trust you to turn off the water in the bathroom , and the paper towels are heavenly. The bartenders aren't bad either.

Stopped into Dark Horse thanks to the PubPass and I'm glad we did. It's a neighborhood watering hole, literally smack dab in the middle of the block of residential homes. This place used to be Junior's Hook, and not much has changed since (which is a good thing). I'll say though that there were some positive improvements.When we walked in we were immediately greeted at the door by a good boye, I think a blue heeler mix. His number one priority was greeting everyone. Second priority was making sure you were playing catch. At the bar were had the pleasure of being served by the friendly Annie. Some of the best service and conversation I've had at a bar in a long time. Taps are surprisingly craft beer only, but plenty of bottles/cans and a good amount of nice bourbon, whiskey and gin. We had planned on staying here for one quick drink and heading out, but the friendly bartenders and good drinks kept us there for 2+ hours. I'll definitely be back.

Great dive bar with lots of beer options, bar dice, games, a jukebox, and plenty of good times. Lots of regulars were there during happy hour and they got the whole bar singing.

First time at the Dark Horse. Nice spot with some decent beers. However, Jack is not a good bartender. He seemed more concerned with his buddies at the end of the bar than new customers. He had an attitude and the service was lacking to say the least.

I love visiting The Dark Horse tavern located right in the middle of the welcoming Walkers Point neighborhood. The bartenders are always very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Great local Milwaukee bar!

Katie Kay was the best! She took care of my whole 20+ party the whole night and never left a single runner thirsty! We're part of a running club that dropped in on her bar and she did not stop the whole time our drunkards were hounding her for drinks. Awesome bar 10/10 will come to again!
