The Chocolate Chisel

Well. What can I say. I think the place has the best chocolates in Wisconsin. Only place you can get hand crafted, 74% dark chocolate bars. We are out of town for the winter, and Monday, I'm going to have them ship me some Dark Bars because you can't get them anywhere else. (there are 72% dark bars out there, and higher, but not any good 74% bars) (I like that concentration of dark). (Ok, ok, i haven't been to every chocolate shop in Wisconsin, so technically I don't know if it's the best, but from what I've had, it is). (that's not to diminish what I think of the Chisel, because I drive all the way to Port to get it.) (The ice cream is fantastic too.) (that's all)

So good, the ice cream is to die for. The staff is so friendly... and courteous..And the place is spotless and cozy even though it's small...

Lots of places close early in the surrounding areas so we were glad to see that chocolate chisel was open a little later so we could get a treat yesterday! I tried a sample of the lavender honey ice cream, the honey flavor was really strong but not bad! I ended up getting a scoop of peanut butter m&m ice cream and it was so delicious. My sister got some chocolates and we shared with my brother. One of the chocolates was a little bland but everything else was good!

We were staying down the street on our way up to Door County. We got into Port Washington a little early to have dinner and walk around town. We just happened upon this place not 5 minutes down the street. So after dinner we walked over, it is a much more sophisticated place than it looks. They have a lot of homemade chocolates in unique flavors plus ice cream! So we bought some chocolate and some ice cream. I had some superb Pistachio Ginger, and not that neon green stuff either. I need to get back and try the Tomatillo. My wife had an amazing Peanut Butter something or other. What a great little local gem. It will be someplace we stop everything we are up that way

A nice place to get a cone or a treat. An especially nice place to buy a gift for someone special. They have Christmas ornaments seasonally. There are lovely chocolate bars with port Washington chiseled into them. A wonderful place.

Every time I've been here the workers have been awesome. The ice cream and chocolate selection never disappoints either.

Ice cream is the way to my heart. It's also the way to my dogs heart. Ice cream is important to me and I need it more often than not to maintain my life and vitality. There is no doubt whenever we go up towards Green bay you can betcha we'll swing by Port Washington and get some goodies at the Chocolate Chisel! Chocolate Chisel is a small shop with a whole lot of selection. My favorite is the salted caramel with chocolate mint in a waffle cone! I get all giddy just thinking about it. There is nothing better on a hot day than chilling in Port Washington with ice cream in hand from the Chisel! We love this place period! Check out the assortment of handmade treats if you're there too! You won't be disappointed.

First let's talk the people:I stopped in less than 5 minutes to close. All of themWe're hopping around happily doing there jobs. They welcomed me and offered their help. It was refreshing. In a way I expected to be greeted with haste, being that they were set to be closing up. Nope, pure patience and customer service. What an amazing staff you have!Now to the chocolate:Ummmmm, wow! The Elvis Presley is the perfect combination of peanut butter and banana. The bourbon bonbon has flavor that will take you to the moon. Not to mention, their delicate decor and design is a show stopper. They deserve to be proudly displayed on a plate or tray of sorts. I took chocolate home to California and it is a hit! Can't wait to be back to grab more amazing chocolate.

Quality ice cream and flavors are not your typical ones found in every ice cream shop. Nice small hometown feel with hours I'm impressed they are open every day till 8 pm
