The Cafe at Bellevue

As always a great Chicken fried steak and Eggs with excellent fast and friendly service!

Lovely local place with a fantastic breakfast, wonderful walleye, great burgers..and good service. Check their hours before going if mid-late in the day. The only day they are open after 2 is possibly Fridays (for fish). Also note, they don't serve alcohol. My favorite dish by far is their stuffed beef streak tomato with chicken salad. It comes with loads of fresh melons, grapes, cucumbers, hard boiled egg, cottage cheese and 2 slices of cinnamon raisin toast.

Hard to rate it any higher due to slow service, messed up orders, and poor quality food. In for brunch on a Wednesday with friends. Ordered the open face hot turkey sandwich, which photo and description showed with mashed potatoes and gravy. Arrived with a baked potato, which I have never seen associated with a hot turkey sandwich. Tried to get the server back but he just dropped everything on the table and left, never to be seen again. Hostess finally brought us our bill. Lots of elderly looking for a lot of food for the money, but the quality isn't there.

The Cafe at Bellevue offers diner type food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is roomy and clean. The wait staff was busy but very efficient and attentive. The menu was extensive but not too overwhelming.I decided to have the Denver omelet with fried potatoes. My wife selected eggs with sausage and pancakes, a traditional breakfast. If I had to sum up the food, I would say average. The omelette was plain and needed more spicing, as with all the food including the fried potatoes. Plain food, nothing special. My wife's pancakes were average. The food reminded me of plain home cooking, nothing special.If you are looking for good food without a lot of extras, try the Cafe at Bellevue, just keep the salt and pepper close.

Have gone to the restaurant a few times when visiting my mother on the east side for breakfast. Has always had great service and good food!

Breakfast was tasty and menu had good selection. Staff was prompt but distant and not personal.

Very poor service. I asked for toast with no butter and the waiter rolled his eyes at me. Brought me toast with butter. I told him I wanted to butter and he brought back burnt toast. No apology, nothing. I have never had a ruder waiter. Food was trash.

Great service. Lots of options. Had their chicken salad croissant and fries. Really good!!

Today is Mothers Day , I have never been ignored and treated so badly especially on a Holiday at a Restaurant! Our entire table of ladies were ignored by our older Male Server , nothing was mentioned about Mother's Day to any of us ladies from anyone and my son was even with me. This is my 3 rd time at this place and my last ! 3X your out ! The first time I was with my mother , I had asked for a few extra creamers for coffee and he had said to me "I will bring you a carton of milk then charge you for it!" Are you kidding me ?! The second time I was also with my mother, and had bad service again . We were never checked up on , and Very rude service by the same man ! And this last time today being Mother's Day , all of the tables around us we're getting served graciously as well as refilling, coffee etc. when he came to take our order, he told us how to order ! we weren't allowed to give him our drink order before telling him what food items we wanted , Extremely rude! Then he forgot an add-on of mine and said "it's gonna go to the back of line and you will never get it. Do you want to cancel it ?" I said yes! How is this my fault you did not put in my order correctly! Of course then just went downhill after that we were completely ignored. We did not get refills on water or coffee, or checked up on the entire rest of our meal. I will never come back to this place again and I will never recommend it to anyone I hope they go out of business. This was awful! I've never felt so insulted on Mother's Day in my life! If I could give this place Negative stars I would ! Don't go here the food is Blah not much taste thrown on the plate and the service is as bad as it can possibly get ! Go somewhere else McDonald's next door is even better!!!!

Wonderful food and fantastic service. Only open for breakfast and lunch, so don't go for dinner here! I had daily special of Swedish meatballs, served with real mashed potatoes, and gravy. their soup of the day was excellent and when I asked for a side of steamed broccoli, they fixed it quickly and the portion was very generous. My hubby had the Cowboy burger(pictured below). IT WAS LOADED WITH HAYSTACK ONION RINGS, THOSE TASTY FINE SHREDDED KIND. AWESOME!
