Really nice wines. Their Chardonnay reserve had a buttery finish which is more difficult to find - it was lovely. Enjoyed all the wines I tried. And the service was excellent.

The Blind Horse is a lovely property with wine tasting, a restaurant and a new bourbon bar. We started the afternoon with wine and Easter chocolate pairing. Both the wine and the chocolates were very nice. We wound up buying a bottle of the Tuscan reserve to take home with some of the chocolates we couldn't finish. After a rest we came back for dinner at the Granary Bourbon bar. We were warmly welcomed. We liked the casual vibe and surprisingly it was not too loud. We started with a flight of old fashioned cocktails. We tried vanilla bean, honeycomb, and our favorite the cinnamon appke. For dinner we both had the Friday perch fry. The perch itself was very good with a nice panko coating. The fries were good too but they could have been warmer. Our server was very attentive and friendly. They were definitely on the game. Can't wait to return!

The non-vintage Tuscan blend is still approaching peak in late 2022. Crisp acidity, mild tannins, pronounced cherry and spice notes (nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla). 93 pointsIt may not be the hit out of the ballpark that the Zinfandel Reserve is, but pretty darn good.

Another year and another wine tasting adventure at Blind Horse Winery. Every time I am in town visiting my Brother-In-Law, who is in the Blind Horse Wine club, we make sure to visit this winery so we can sample their latest vintages which is always one of my highlites of my annual trip to Wisconsin. The wines made at this small winery are definately superior to all the other wineries I have visited in this state where you can stack up these wines with the "good" stuff you get out of the west cost. The annual volume of this winery is on the order of 5K cases a year I believe where the quality is quite good. The thing I like about this operation and which separates them from the other Wisconsin local wineries is that they get the grapes (not the crushed juice) from various vineyards out west, mostly from California, where their winemaker is able to control all aspects of the wine making process to include the pressing of the grapes, how long the skins are in contact with the juice, the fermentation process, alcohol levels, time in barrel and types of barrels all the way to wine in bottle available for sale to the customer. This process along with their knowledgeable winemaker leads to some very good wines that even a wine snob like me can appreciate! Truly a quality operation that offers a quality product at the end of the day!If you are in this area and enjoy good wine than this is a must see business. Wine tasting is 5 pours of the wine of your choice (15 different bottles available for tasting on the day of our visit) for only $8 which is a bargain in my book. Also if you have time you should check out their restaurant as well as I am told the food is quite good and goes so well with their wines!! Truly a experience that should not be missed.

We were blown away by our experience at the winery. Jacob was so helpful. He explained all the wines, told us the history of the property, took photos for us and made our evening an absolute delight. We loved the decor. They offer wine by the glass, bottle, flight (3) or tasting (5). We can't wait to come back in the summer. They have a ton of fun events planned.

This isn't for the winery. It's for the bourbon bar. It's 530pm. We were hanging out with the nicest staff from the winery and thought we could go to the bourbon bar across the way (50 yards or less) since we are all in the Same vicinity, my mom had a glass of wine she half chugged. We walked in to the bourbon bar and my mom maybe had 3 sips left , an employee with long black braids says we can't have that in here, we apologized and my mom drank it. I said we didn't know we couldn't have the wine she (didn't even give us a chance before she continued to yell at me where everyone in the bar could hear) here we were about to order more blind horse wine. She was telling the other bartenders I can't deal with this chick, I'm going to call the manager. I said I would talk to the manager. Manager never came. Given the disrespect to patrons or all 6 of us dealt with, we left. This bourbon bar is part of blind horse winery and maybe 50 yards from the winery. Heaven forbid you unknowingly bring in blind horse wine only to plan to order blind horse wine at this bourbon bar. We won't go back though.

It was a cold wet Wisconsin Sunday when we hiked from the Inn at Woodlake to the Winery. Molly greeted us warmly. We chatted amicably and got to learn more about Kohler and about the special events at the winery. My husband had three half glasses while I had a sampling of five. And we ordered the most amazing cheese plate I have ever had in my life! It had three different cheeses in cubes, cashews and dried cranberries. The Bleu Cheese was given a drizzle of honey which brought out the flavors.Molly took it upon herself to try to get us a ride back to the Inn by calling different transport services on our behalf, but in the end, unwilling to pay $65 to travel less than two miles, we walked back. It was a nice enough walk leading us back to the shops at Woodlake.

A-OK is a good way for me to describe my experience. By all means, it was nice and I'd go back in a heartbeat. But nothing about the experience really stood out. They offer wine by the glass, wine tastings, wine + cheese tastings, and wine + chocolate tastings. Something for everyone! The bartender was friendly. She did a great job telling us about the wine and some of the history of the place. Wine was tasty. Nice place - just nothing stood out that really wow'd me.

The wines are okay, but not worth the price. Decent food offerings. We go for the events. Nice space for good music.
