Average restaurant with an average water view!All in all a good experience, the staff were very welcoming and drinks were good. Large specialty cocktail selection. We easily made reservations a few days in advance. The food was average and the view of the water was underwhelming but still better than no view! Our party enjoyed prime rib, ravioli, walleye, and Cajun chicken pasta. Each diner agreed their meal was average. Luckily, the prices were also average! I would come back given it's not super expensive, but don't expect a fine dining experience.

This restaurant is attached to our favorite hotel, the Harborview. They have a great patio on the canal overlooking the water. We had Breakfast here last time, which was wonderful and this time we arrived early enough to have dinner. It's a nice laid back place with a great bar that always seems to have a fun local brew. We started out with the calamari ...because hey we were on vacation. Very tender and crispy, no complaints at all. I had the Perch fish fry and my wife had the Perch sandwich. Both were superb, perfectly cooked fish, not heavy or greasy. It was the perfect meal in a wonderful setting. The fish fry includes rye bread, potato and coleslaw, I finished every bite. We also then went back for breakfast the next morning, thay have a small simple menu but it's perfectly cooked, and I love their ham. Plus watching the sun rise over the water it a great way to start your day

This place is way beyond the call of duty. We had a fast wonderful service. The view is espectacular, the brief time spent waiting for our breakfast was filled with Entertaiment since the current was strong, we saw Two boats fighting the current of the harbor right beside our table. Eggs Benedict are awesome, hash browns are light and soft. The bagel with lox was beautifully presented (could use more salmon) excellent taste.

The dinner menu is limited and they did not have everything that was on the menu (we were told that they had a supplier issue). It was not very busy. We arrived for an early dinner around 5:00 pm and left around 7:00 pm. During that time there were only three other customers. On the positive side, the food was good and the service friendly. The view into the harbor was nice. If it weren't for the limited dinner menu options I would have given the restaurant a higher rating.

Best eggs Benedict I've ever had, outside of the British Isles! MAGNIFICENT!From the hostess, to the waitress, to the chef, to the exquisite way the eggs Benedict was prepared and presented...this restaurant looks after the details. It shows! We ate at the Beacon 12/20/24. We have been there several times, unfortunately this was our worst experience. We arrived at our reservation time and seated immediately. That's where the good service ended. Ordered a cocktail and after 20+ minutes my husband went to the bar to retrieve it. I should have taken the lead of the table of 20 who went to the bar for their own drinks. Salad arrives with onions when asked to hold. My husband's dinner was requested without breading, could not be provided. My salmon was very good. Neighboring tables had to ask for dinner that never arrived, another that never received their soup. Many dissatisfied customers Friday night. My advise to future diners, eat at the bar. It may be the only place you do get good service. Sad...

Great service as always, great appetizers( onion rings), great main dishes (cajun pasta, JUMBO fried shrimp). Beautiful views, warm, friendly, clean restaurant. Breakfast is also very good here.

We had lunch this past Saturday. Including ourselves there were 6 people in the restaurant occupying 3 tables so not real busy. After we were seated, we waited 10 minutes for our waitress to take our lunch order. Even though our drink glasses were empty for at least 15 minutes our waitress didn't come to our table until she brought our food which was 40 minutes after our order was taken

on 8-8-24. check your bag if you get takeout. spent 60 bucks and got back to the hotel to find they forgot my soup and salad. went all the way back and not even a sorry from the bar tender that took my order or what appeared to be the manager. no sorry. tipped 15%. felt disrespected and will not be back and recommend you eat somewhere else.
