Teriyaki Express

We ordered through grub hub because I'd seen all the great reviews. We ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box, beef and chicken yakisoba plus crab rangoons and spring rolls. Definately a big difference from the Chinese food chains nearby. I'll be ordering from here again!

The best hot & sour soup in the area. Also, this place smells clean. Do you know how sometimes you walk in a restaurant and the smells are kind of weird? Not here.

We've been craving Chinese or Japanese food for awhile so I checked the reviews on Yelp for a place we have never been. We did a carry out order consisting of:Crab Rangoon Beef Egg Rolls Steamed DumplingsCombination YakisobaCombination Yaki UdonThe Crab Rangoon was probably one of the best we've had. They did not skimp on the cream cheese filling, they were larger in size than other places offer, and they were wonderfully crisp! The restaurant is only 10 minutes from our home, but with other restaurants, the Crab Rangoon would have lost their crispiness, kind of getting steamed in their bag, so I was extremely happy these didn't do that! I think they were just as crispy as they'd be if we ate in the restaurant and they came right out of the kitchen. The Egg Rolls were interesting. I don't think I've ever had beef ones before. They were delicious. Just the right amount of filling and like the Crab Rangoon, nice and crunchy. The Steamed Dumplings with their sauce were average. I'd like to try the fried ones next time, but if they're also average, we might try a different appetizer. Next came our entrées. I selected Combination Yaki Udon and my fiancé went with the Combination Yakisoba. We decided to share them both since we've never had either. I ended up liking my fiancé's Yakisoba and he liked the Yaki Udon more. The Yakisoba just had a fresher flavor to me. There was something about the sauce on the Yaki Udon that I didn't like. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me. My fiancé really liked it. The chicken, beef, and shrimp in our entrées seemed to be of a higher quality than a lot of other Asian restaurants use in their dishes. We will definitely be going back. I'd like to try one of the Bento Boxes and the General Tso's.

Ordered Teriyaki Express takeout and the food was done in a very timely manner and the food was delicious

Great food! Just like Kobe's in the mall. Heard a rumor that it's the same owners? Not sure if this is true, but it is just like it !! Also has machines inside and a cute little eating area.

Probably the best orange chicken ever. Super fast and get a lot of food for what you pay.

My fiancée wanted us to try this place for dinner one night because it's close to her house. So glad we did, huge portions for the price! Plus food was amazing!! I got the small chicken and she got tofu, and they were both huge portions! Had plenty for leftovers! Will def try it again!

Worst service I have ever encounteredFood was horrible, and when I found a bug in my teriyaki they acted like it was my fault. I couldn't eat there and I left. It was a waste of my time and money.DO NOT EAT HERE. If you think it's clean, think again..

This is hands down the best Chinese food in rockford, I've been eating here since they opened and I can confidently say it's the BEST FOOD IN ROCKFORD!!! love them

Half a star more appropriate. Food was bland and it looks like it's not original owners. Don't bother. Leftovers weren't eaten. Not good.
