Taqueria El Molcajete

Stopped here on our way to Madison. The food and service were both excellent. The pico was so good we ordered some to go, with chips. Highly recommend this place.

Food was fantastic and had enough left over for lunch the next day so portions were perfect! The flan was wonderful too but didn't get a picture of that. Nice little place and very clean. The people there were so friendly, I highly recommend this place!

The service is very friendly and helpful. The gentleman taking our order explained what we were ordering and took his time with us. Handsome too. The food was very delicious and reminded me of home (San Diego, CA). Thank you!!

What a gem! We stopped here after seeing amazing reviews and I'm so glad we did! The (maybe?) owner stopped by multiple times to see how we were doing. He was SO kind. The food was INCREDIBLE. It was hoppin' from the moment we arrived to the time we left. When we are back in Belvidere we will definitely be back.

Best Mexican restaurant hands down. Victor, the owner is excellent! I have been going here for over a decade, and it still out beats any place I have been. I don't know how they do it but they have the best mexican food around. I highly recommend their chips, guacamole, and pico de gallo.

Great food (we especially love the chimichanga, enchiladas, and wonderful red sauce that comes with the warm chips and salsa) and excellent service (we call to order takeout and pay in advance, and they were fine with bringing the order out to our car when we arrived, which was really appreciated). We actually plan some of our trips to Belvidere around the days of the week that El Molcajete is open!

Great-tasting, authentic food and friendly service in an unpretentious setting. Only downside is no adult beverages.

My fiancée insisted we go here for her bday and I was not opposed. I picked steak and pastor tacos and she picked a vegetarian burrito. Both tacos were amazing, however steak with cilantro and onion are always my go to. I can't wait for us to try even more food here! Amazing!!

We visit as often as possible because the food and service are always good. It's a little out of our way but worth the drive. I like the chile relleno and she likes the enchiladas. Chips and salsa are always fresh and tasty.
