Overall a positive experience when it comes to the service and dining space. Plenty of space to sit. We had a party of 8 and were more than comfortable. Quick and attentive server. She was even kind enough to turn on a football game on the tv. Our party tried a variety of food - sopes, fajitas, burrito, tacos, and the kids hot dog/taco with fries. It was good Mexican food, everyone was satisfied and left with full bellies. Solid 3.5 stars for this place. Standard Mexican food, nothing that blew us away, but would return.

First time visiting, I love the food. The place was kind of quiet at the beginning, but it got full pretty quickly. The staff was really friendly and amazing and it seems like they have a really good team working in the kitchen they all seem pretty happy. Our food was done fairly quickly amazing flavors super fresh and very tasty! We had Horchata for our drinks and that was really nice. Highly recommended. It's not a fancy place, but it is very clean and cozy.

I'll make this a quick one. This was a really mixed experience overall. The space is nice and inviting, it was warm inside too which is always a plus around this time of year. Service was friendly and the food came out fast. We had a few different tacos, rice and beans, a tamale, and a gordita. The steak and chorizo tacos were a bit bland and over grilled but the lengua taco was more enjoyable. The tamale was solid but nothing special. The gordita was the best bite for sure, it had great flavors. I'd come back just for that. We were served some complimentary chips and salsa as well which is always appreciated. The food here was mostly underwhelming outside of the gordita but the price point and quality service make this spot a 3.5 star experience for me. Perhaps I'll have better luck on a return visit.

This is my first time at this taqueria, and I was very satisfied with my meal! The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall in Grayslake, and there is plenty of convenient parking. The festive ambiance and welcoming staff stood out to me! The menu is extensive, and I think they have specials which are listened on their Facebook page. I had the pozole rojo, which was so delicious! The broth was so flavorful, and there was a lot of tender meat! I also thought the tableware (bowls, plates, etc) was beautiful and added to the experience. My husband bought a ton of tacos, and they looked delicious as well. I thought the prices were fair, and the portions were sizeable. As we head into fall/winter, I can't wait to try the other soups!

Apr 2024: just had tacos al pastor Charley way and they were delicious. Again, not disappointed. Note, they have a new policy where using card you pay a fee. Fine for me! I would rather see a fee vs increasing prices. Plus... finally a reason to use cash and save.
