Great, authentic tacos! You know it's authentic when the server speaks absolutely no English. I tried to ask them whether the owners were the same as the Mexican restaurant of the same name down in Racine (my favorite place, but far...), and she said yes, but I'm not sure whether she actually understood the question. The decor and furniture seems to be similar. But the food is somewhat different. Tacos here are good, but maybe because I got it to go... just not the same. I also missed the jalapeño sauce. I'd come back for some good lunch.

I have been looking at this place for a while but with so many places to try it sometimes takes a while to get to some of them and some close before I can get over but this place was still open so I went. It was time for a Mexican meal and I wanted to go right to the source, I have yet to get to the most of the Milwaukee big shots places when these real neighborhoods have so much to offer so get off the beaten path people. The place is around 15th and Lincoln and there is so many places in this area to choose from so its hard to just pick one so just pick one and go with it. It was a good sign that the block that it was on had no parking so I parked a block over. The place is very small and very full with all but two tables taken, the one right at the door that no one wanted and one off to the side. This place was rocking at 1:30 on a Sunday with non stop people and the tables couldn't be turned fast enough while people waited for a seat, a good sign. The place had very colorful murals/scenes on all the tables and chairs with like 70s wood paneling on the walls and just a Mexican dive for the most part. The water and chips with salsa came fast with two bottles of hot sauce. The chips were not house made but they were fresh so that was ok. There was two salsas with one being a nice fresh chunky red kind which was super mild and the smooth creamy green that was tasty with the heat and my favorite, I would buy this for home use. The green hot sauce bottle was mild while the red had some heat and the one I would use.I was all set on a taco dinner and preferably a meat combo if possible but I was slapped silly and shaken into reality when I saw Milanesa Suiza De Res in the middle of the last page, I'm a sucker for the breaded steak. It came with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and 7 hot corn tortillas. The plate looked way better than what I thought my lunch would be when I first walked in. The Milanesa was topped with ranchera sauce and nice melty cheese which when put into the corn tortillas with, beans, rice and some salsa was just amazing. The rice was my kind of perfect and cooked al dente with nice separate grains and seasoned. The beans were also really good, not to thin and warm enough to melt the cheese. The lunch ended up being way better than I imagined walking through the door and one of the better Mexican dishes I have had, good job. While I was there a live band showed up and started playing music, really just two guys.Service was super good in the beginning and my food came out fast and hot but with all the tables being turned at the same time and all the new food coming out it took a while to get my box and check so I could leave. This was a great find of a Mexican restaurant with big tasty portions to my amazement at the $10 range. This is definitely a hidden gem in the Mexican restaurant scene of Milwaukee and a great find.

I was craving some Mexican food and found good reviews on this place so I thought I would try it. All I have to say is I was ready to leave after being there 10 min. The service sucked. When I was ready to order I wanted the Gordita plate but it wasn't available so I went with second choice which was a order of sopes and again it wasn't available so the 3 choice was flautas I waited maybe 15 min for my order. I was already hangry by this time I had already finished my bottle coke when the food came out the flautas came out burnt over cooked the asada was literally burnt. I left that place hungry and mad. My appetite was gone by than. Definitely not going back.

Part of me didn't want to write this review as to keep it a little secret but my meal was too yummy to not share. Fast service, super cheap, filling, and authentic. I had an avocado tostada and a head taco, both of which were piled high with toppings and left me satisfied. That alone would've been enough for a lunch! The green salsa that comes with the chips is my favorite thing there; douse everything you eat with it and you will have no regrets. P.s. I thought my coworkers were joking but after eating them I understand, but Arandas serves remarkably delicious French fries and for 2.50 a plate, I couldn't say no to that. Beer battered nature, and with the creamy green salsa, my mouth is watering all over again.Short and sweet, do yourself a favor and come to Arandas.

Ordered via postmates and postmate delivery man texted me to tell me they do not have shrimp. they have around 10 items including shrimp on their menu and nowhere was it posted they did not have shrimp anymore. thank God he texted me or I probably would not have got what I wanted. I then ordered chicken. the order got delivered and there was no chili con queso with my chimichanga like the description stated. i started eating and found a ROCK!!!!! thank God it didn't break my tooth!! then i found a HAIR! how gross. i will never eat or order from here again. absolutely disgusting.

Although the food was great, the portions were very small. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 sides of rice and the sides we got were so small they were probably equivalent to one side. The man didn't ask what kind of tacos shells we wanted but instead assumed we wanted flour when we definitely didn't.

I have gotten food here at least 4 or 5 times in the past few months. Consistently great food. Tacos are fresh and generously filled with tender and flavorful meat of your choice. Salsas are homemade and the creamy green one is to DIE for. Chilaquiles are hearty and delicious. Great service, fantastic food. My new favorite place for weekend tacos in Milwaukee hands down.

Very tasty food with large portions and quick service. Cheery interior so don't let the exterior scare you off.

I have come here since I was a little girl! I have always loved their flautas, fajita mix and their tortas, my parents always come for the gorditas and tacos. They are quick at getting our food and very attentive. Absolutely love it here, they should expand to a bigger restaurant tho, we've sometimes had to wait for a table especially since they closed half their tables for COVID

No margaritas or Mexican beer at this place. Just decent authentic standard Mexican food. 3.5 to 4 stars. Good value, food and service.Only issue I've ever had with this place is food inconsistency. Depends who is cooking as sometimes they are a bit heavy on the jalapenos when cooking but not too much where it can be overwhelming.
