Taj Grocery

I recently (June 2022) toured the newest location of Taj Grocery in Brookfield, WI (in same area as Casablanca Restaurant) with my Ayurvedic chef/coach and a small group learning how to cook Indian meals. Very impressed with the cleanliness and well-organized fresh produce, freezer section and grocery aisles. Owner is also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely shop there in the future.

Excellent selection. They have reduced sodium options as well. Prices are reasonable

I came here because I was looking for my coconut oil (Vatika Dabur Coconut Oil). For the naturalistas in Milwaukee this is a good place for your henna, (never knew that it came in different colors) and amla oil. I called during the week to ask if they had my oil and the person on the other end was nice enough to check and and give me the price over the phone. The store is really clean, easy to navigate and well organized (beauty section, frozen food section, bags of rice, spices, canned goods, candy and a tiny produce section) If you're into Bollywood movies there's huge wall of them. I was really impressed the variety of products they have. It's really close to both Mayfair and Bayshore Mall.

Updating review after some food quality n freshness concerns...taj guys are friendly n nice and shall only need more attention on few items like Biryani n other items that comes every thursday..

awful customer service by the owner's wife after being a customer for 10 years. Due to COVID no one carry cash & she was showing me attitude & pointing to sign. During COVID no one has cash & she did not need to show attitude. She also said "if you want to buy than buy or do not" she does not care about her customers.Not going back again

Likely the best Indian grocery in town. You get fresh vegetables more days than at any other grocers. Taj grocery may feel cramped with narrow aisles but it is well stocked with almost everything that you need for Indian cuisine preparation and more. The customer service is top notch too. My place to go for Indian groceries, hands down.
