This place is fantastic ; the family feel of this place is genuine and feels very homey . The staff is extremely nice and the food is amazing ; had the special stuffed pepper with steak and it was really do die for . Not a single complain . Also the salsa and chips are very fresh . Very very pleased here and will be back for sure !!!

I can't believe I haven't done a review for this place since I've been coming here for a long time. Food is pretty good. I love their sweet corn tamales. The menudo is awesome after a night out partying and drinking. Service is great, the restaurant is decorated in a typical Mexican restaurant. Ordered the Asada Burrito Suizo and Caldo de Res last night. The Caldo de Res was disappointing this time though because it lacked flavor, it tasted like a watered down soup hence the 3 stars review but other wise the other stuffs I ordered were pretty good. Definitely check them out when you're in the area.

This Is a chain here in northern Illinois. This particular location I found to be the most authentic for traditional Mexican food. Tonight I ordered a burrito Suizo with Verde sauce, beans, and rice. My wife had soft tortilla Mexican style steak tacos with beans and rice as well. We laughed very satisfied with the quality of the plates that were served but the service was good as well. Although it's further away than some of the other two locations for me I'm willing to make the extra drive.

The service is quick. They have some humorous posts around the tables. It's funny to read. The food is decent and reasonable. Servers are nice.

Whenever we mention going out to eat and say; Tacos el Norte, everyone in unison screams YES!! The best service around! Their staff goes above and beyond! We love eating here a few times a week for lunch! Their tacos are the best around!! Everything we have ever eaten off their menu is delicious to the last bite. Our number one go to when I don't cook.

Inconsistent serving practices also their picture show no peas in their rice however they have peas in their rice people with allergies this is highly deadly. When they put this stuff in your burrito you have no idea what you're biting until until you do. Whoever the person is who does the menu needs to be more clear on what ingredients are there especially vegetables or anything that could called allergens

Steak tacos are the best around. This is my go to spot. Staff is always friendly and quick to get your food to you.

The food was fantastic. Service was great. I wish they has a less spicy salsa option, but I enjoyed the burrito!!

Quick service reasonable prices. Great food. Excellent food. Love the chips, salsa and guacamole. Loved the flan and also the horchata was cool and refreshing
