Taco Stop MKE

I actually frequent this place! It's so good!! Well, the steak and al pastor are really good. I only get cilantro and onions, I don't have any interest in gringo type tacos. I like a good street taco. The corn is so good too! Depending on who makes it, it's spicier than others at time but I love it spicy! It's such a nice easy, simple and affordable meal! 2-3 tacos fills me up, they don't really skimp on the ingredients. The staff is so super friendly and accommodating. I love the medium salsa that they provide! It's full of flavor and has a nice kick to it! I'm constantly returning! If you sign up for their emails, you'll get little discounts from time to time!

My go-to lunch spot! Taco Stop South Milwaukee has a nice little outdoor patio as well, which makes for a great place to eat in the summer. Food has always been yummy, with my favorite pick being the Chimichangas. Staff is typically always nice. Excited to try more items on the menu!

Food was beyond words! And the service was amazing too!! Me and my best friend go here occasionally and honestly it's one of our favorite spots. The location is nice and quiet. Not a lot of heavy traffic. Best time to eat here is during the summer. Just sit outside and enjoy your food without constant distractions.

There isn't many authentic Mexican restaurants in South Milwaukee area but we're glad we found Taco Stop Mke. It's a cute little spot you can eat inside or outdoors.You order at the window so it's not really like a sit down with a server kind of restaurant. Husband ordered tacos and flautas, I ordered chilaquiles with steak. They ask you if you want spicy or non spicy chilaquiles, of course I went with spicy and they were so good they're probably my favorite chilaquiles now. It's also big portions for reasonable prices.

Good choice for Gringo tacos, though service can be a little slow due to staff shortages combined with continued local popularity. If you're in the area, there isn't much competition, but not far north are a multitude of more authentic Mexican family run restaurants and food trucks. Very pleasant outdoor seating area when weather permits.

3-stars a-okay. This place used to be an A&W! I feel like there should be a Yelper who just does Used to Be reviews. Growing up nearby in South Milwaukee, my H.S. girlfriend worked at this (then) A&W, so my first visit inside had me shook. The trash can Thank You was a noticeable relic from those days and who doesn't miss A&W root beer on draft?Stopped in on a rainy day and a bunch of school teachers were having lunch on probably their first Friday back. Service was terse but adequate. I ordered three tacos, steak, Barbacoa, and Al Pastor, and honestly only the Al Pastor knocked it out of the park. Asked for the spicy salsa and was given the mild close-to-being-Ketchup salsa. I'll make it back once a year.

Great tacos, fast service, accepts cards, has convenient parking. Couldn't find taco Tuesday deals.

The food was awful! I could swear that the food had some type of cleaning solution on it! I felt ill after about a half an hour or so and had to leave work. I would seriously not recommend this place. Taco Bell is right up the street. Do not eat at this place. I'm giving it a one star but if I could give it zero I would.

I don't understand reading all these good reviews, how that's possible. We ordered tacos, chimichangas and a burrito. Spent 50 bucks. I will never do it again or go back. The food was completely bland. The steak had no flavor, the chorizo was overcooked, and the chimichangas were ground beef and had no flavor. I'm not sure if there was just a bad cook there this evening because I see a lot of good reviews, but I will never go back for that amount of money. I would air on the side of caution.
