Vegan, gluten free, and soy free- I couldn't believe it!Tabal chocolate is organically grown, gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, and made from bean to bar in small batches using stone grinders. Made in Wauwatosa, WI.I loved the blood orange and cherry chocolates; definitely a one-of-a-kind chocolate experience!

A chocolatiers delight! This isn't gummy American "chocolate" it's a cozy welcoming shop with friendly service and a selection of known origin chocolates products with grownup flavors. From brewable cacao to nibs to dark and mid chocolates for baking, eating and sipping as tea or coffee and yes even hot cocoa, these are perfect for the discerning chocolate fan. If you want an instant fix there's gelato and drinks available.

Good choice for gifts, the chocolates are expensive but the prices are valid for the high quality. Maybe the best coffee mocha I've ever had, the barista is good and very pleasant. It's a nice place to sit and relax with an espresso drink. The one thing I don't like is that like all other coffee places they only serve in disposable cups with plastic lids. The coffee and ambiance are two thirds of the café experience, the important missing third is appropriate demi-tasse or espresso cups and saucers.

This place smells heavenly as soon as you walk in! The staff is super friendly and also very knowledgeable. They specialize in dark chocolate and really celebrating the cacao bean itself! They have big bags of cacao beans in the shop and also grinders to make the chocolate itself! Huckleberry dark chocolate was delicious. I also really like the Cinnamon Quinoa bar- it's like a dark rice krispies!!

A secret gem in downtown Wauwatosa that I never knew about until I patronized a restaurant a few doors down. They have a good selection to pick from to make the cutest gift boxes for any chocolate lover that you may know. Parking can be a hassle depending when you come to visit

Tabal Chocolate is a classy little Chocolate store where all your dark chocolate dreams come true. I ordered the blood orange dark chocolate and it was delicious. Citrus flavors cuts down the bitterness of dark chocolate, rendering a smooth, fresh mouth feel. Tabal's commitment to using responsibly and sustainably grown cacao is commendable. I also learned that they use wholesome ingredients such as whole vanilla bean, pure cane sugar and cacao butter and that is awesome know that a local business makes clean, sustainable products. Looking forward to getting more chocolate in the near future. I highly recommend this business for all your chocolate cravings.

I was given three 70% Craft Dark Chocolate bars from Ali B the MKE Yelper back on 12Oct18 upon our first meeting in Seattle. He is very proud and passionate about all things Wisconsin. These were carefully stored at ambient temperature and shielded from light for a little over five months. On a rare Sunday at work (3/24/19), I decided to check these out, eating four squares from each bean to bar variety. Two each, pause, another two. All had perfect snap, no bloom, and lovely shine.Bolivia Alto Beni, batch 709, smooth and assertive, slight berry finishDominican Oko Caribe, batch 673, milder, slight grassy finishPeru San Martin De Pangoa, batch N/A, more texture, middle of the three, slight peppery finish*Note: very subjective, the above were based solely on my palate sitting in front of a computer screen at my desk. No fancy controlled environments. Just a dark chocolate fan who happens to work as a QC microbiologist.I like the regions selected, but of the three the Bolivia Alto Beni edged out the other two.Thank you Ali B and Dan Bieser, Chocolate Maker at Tabal Chocolate. I truly appreciate the heart, soul, and effort to create these quality crafted chocolate bars.Other info from the business card enclosed:Tabal Chocolate7515 Harwood AvenueWauwatosa, WI 53213414-585-9996Info@TabalChocolate.comwww.TabalChocolate.comHighly recommended!

I know, five stars for chocolate. Daring today, aren't we? But even among chocolate stores, this is a five. I think only Scharffenberger in California is better. Not to throw shade on Indulgence, though, their great too.Apparently this is the only place in the county to make their chocolate from scratch on premises, which is worth it just for the smells, let alone the fresh, high quality chocolate. The selection of products is vast, from cocoa-husk tea to gelato to unsweetened hot chocolate. I wanted it all. The kids wanted almost as much. Especially loved that almost everything is vegan here, and if you have any questions everything is labeled. The staff is very helpful and patient, even with very excited kids.Free street parking, but I can see it filling up fast. There is also a single all-gender restroom for customers, too. This place deserves frequent visits. Go check them out!

Really wholesome shop ran by people who love and breathe chocolate. Chocolate has been ruined for me by these guys and they really opened the world to show me how much depth and variations chocolate has. They opened their door to us even after closing and was so passionate in explaining their chocolates without pretension. You can see the bean to bar process all at the store. It doesn't get better than this in Milwaukee.

This place is terrible! The gelato was flavorless. The Latte was extremely watered down. Please dont call yourself an espresso cafe when using a Breville machine! I have the same one at home and could have made a better latte. What a waste of $20!
