This is a great little family farm to enjoy an autumn afternoon. Apples, pumpkins, corn maze, and an activity area! Every employee we encountered made our day better. They have over 50 rows of apples with multiple varieties. We picked a half pack and enjoyed trying multiple new flavors when we got home. As we rode the hay ride out to the corn maze we passed the pumpkin patch with some very massive pumpkins. Tons of choices on the field for all your carving needs! The corn maze was simple but fun. We found all the hidden spots and earned our reward. This year's design is a pumpkin with a smiley face.

Such a fun place to welcome fall! We love the pick your own patches- especially the gourds and different varieties of pumpkin you don't see everywhere! Last year I scored an absolutely beautiful mum and I hope to do the same next weekend! There are delicious treats and plenty of activities to entertain your little ones! My kids always enjoy the corn maze too! Plenty of space to enjoy the afternoon in a beautiful setting. It gets a bit crowded towards the front but the lines move quickly.

This California girl feels like she can officially call herself a mid-westerner after this experience. This was my first time picking my own apples and pumpkins since moving here, and I loved every moment of it. There were a ton of apples I'd never even heard of, but that was the beauty of it. The apple cider and apple cider donuts were delicious as well! I loved seeing how many kid-friendly activities there were and I can't wait for my nieces and nephews to visit so they can experience all the fun.

I loved my first visit to Sutter's Ridge Farm!! It was about a 35 drive out of Madison for me. I live just west of UW Madison's campus. When you arrive, there are plenty of signs indicating which apples are ripe to pick, their flavor profile, as well as where you can find them on the farm. You first need to pre-purchase a bag from the cabin. We bought 1/2 peck (5 pounds) for $7.50 as well as 6 donuts for $5.50. I am a fan of tarter apples, so I was a fan of the Wealthy and Zestar varieties! They also have sweeter ones. Exploring the farm afterwords was a blast too. They have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals, and activities for children (maze and activities for an extra cost). Overall, I highly recommend coming here!

Here's what you need to know:A. You need to go visit their farmB. You will never forget it and want to come back every year to pick berries or come for the pumpkin patch.C. If you like strawberries, pumpkins, rhubarb cakes, pies and jams you are in luck.If you get to drive down to their farm plan on staying for several hours. Check their website to see which fruit is in season to pick. Berries, apples, pumpkins and more.I am not sure who has more fun here, kids or the adults sampling and picking fruit.Pumpkin Patch is a decent size, fun maze, games, tractor rides, baked goods, tame goats and more, without it being jam packed (pun!) with people and over priced. This is manageable with little children. Their farmer's market stand sells berries, apples, jams, breads, berry plants, pumpkins and more. Always friendly and helpful.Yummy.

Great place for fall fun! And not just for kids :) There are all kinds of activities-apple picking, a pumpkin patch, apple sling shot, corn maze and a huge activity area. The focus of the activity area is kid-friendly stuff but there is plenty to entertain the adults-bean bag toss, carnival style basketball, table mazes and more. Don't miss the silly set up they have which allows kids to fill a dish with food and then a goat up on a platform pulls it up to himself using a rope/pulley system with his mouth. There is a small cafe with baked goodies, coffee, hot apple cider, honey, caramel apples and all kinds of good stuff. There is also a tent type thing next door that had apple cider donuts and brats. The apple picking section was a bit difficult to navigate and would definitely benefit from some added signage out in the orchard. The gourd selection is some of the most unique I've ever seen!Prices are fair and all of the staff was super friendly. Access to the corn maze, activity area and ride to pumpkin patch is $5. Can't beat that! Apple sling shot not included (Cash or check only though-ATM on site).
