I vacillated between 3 and four starsThe food is very good, but there's such a thing as too much. The potato pancakes are great. An order comes with two. I couldn't finish one. Had eggs over easy next time. The amount of hash browns was daunting.But real maple syrup and excellent tea choices are positives for me.Good friends tell me their burgers are really good.Ambiance of a tidy fifties diner. Very nice waitress. I would like to try this place for dinner.

The food was great, really like the small town restaurant feel the service was very fast. Just a reminder cash only.

My husband and I were visiting my sister so we decided to go to breakfast. We showed up and we're waiting for them to open. I was impressed that the minute the doors opened the restaurant was full. There is a sign letting you know everything is made to order, which I was also impressed with, so all 4 of us patiently waited while having our coffee. We watched 2 tables order, eat, pay, and leave. Both tables got other guests, ordered and ate. We still didn't have any food. Our waitress completely ignored us, after an hour and 15 minutes we decided to leave. Upon contacting the owner about our concerns she was insulting "if you want fast food go to McDonald's!" She also insinuated that we lied about how long we waited and lied that we said something inappropriate to a minor waitress. We are all mature adults, and I would expect more from a business owner. In all honesty, I believe our order was forgotten. At one point the cook came out, looked around, seemed surprised that we had no food, and rushed back into the kitchen. I would have been completely OK with a sincere apology, but I don't do well with insults and attacks on my character.

We always seek out diners for breakfast when we're traveling and Susie Kay's Cafe did not disappoint! Very clean, great food & good service! Will definitely be back to support this local business!

Whenever I travel I try to find the small "mom and pop" cafes for breakfast and lunch. People that run these cafes are the "salt of the earth" and I believe in supporting these small, local businesses. The franchise businesses get enough traffic and small diners are a dying treasure. This small diner did not disappoint with its nostalgic charm. It was clean and airy. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Our order was taken in a timely manner. I ordered the seasonal asparagus soup. I swear my grandma was back in the kitchen and had made it. So yummy! This is definitely a hidden gem and located 1/2 mile from the Badger car ferry. If you enjoy small diners, give this one a try. It is a cash only business but don't let that deter you because the prices are fair and you get a lot for your money. On our way out we offered to pay for a person in the armed services. The cashier replied with, "Don't worry. We have him covered."

Love this place! they have a burger with buns made of grilled cheese. nice people and not expensive to eat there.

The "defibrillator was awesome. Was it a big as burger heck yeah. Would I order it again probably. Small place cash only. But you already know those places are the best. I was waiting for my order and some out of towners tried to pay with card. The waiter who was prolly part owner said just get it next time and I was amazed. Not much places like that around any more. That couple will prolly never come back but that's what makes this place an must visit for the comfort and the food !!! Don't miss out !!!!

It's a nice old-school diner; it's not fancy, but everything is delicious and affordable.

Great lunch today. Just the basic cheeseburger and fries, but hot fresh and quick. We will be back.
