Sunset On the Water

Pete M's review hit the proverbial nail on the head when he noted that too many dinner places in this town have too many choices on the menu. No restaurant can do this many different dishes well, but trying to be all things to all people does seem to be the Fondulac restaurant way. The cheese curds were okay, chicken tenders were the kind that come from the freezer, also just okay. The French onion soup was very good as was the Tilapia on wild rice. The Wisconsin style old fashioned before eating was okay in quality, big in quantity. Great location, right on the lake, nice patio for dining al fresco, I like to avoid bugs and still had a nice big window view inside. Service was very good, though they weren't very busy.

Something has changed with management and kitchen. Supper was not up to usual goodness. Cold foods, not same quality, over hour wait. Hopefully things straighten up.

They have good food and I love their bone in wings. The newer patio and tiki hut style bar over looking lake Winnebago is the best around. Live music all summer long and very friendly staff with great drinks

Wow, what a gorgeous sunsets here when is not rainy! Specials every day, so great staff and good portions of food. Breana one of the awesome bartenders gave us all the great choices for food and drinks. Seating area outside for amazing sunsets for sure!

Good view on the patio/deck. They host bands regularly. My wife and I had chicken nachos. Quite good with lots of chicken. I saw burgers and salads coming out that looked very good and more than ample portions for the price. Drinks were better than average and again priced for value. My server David was pretty new but very friendly, fast and courteous. I'd take him anytime.

We enjoyed drinks and flatbreads at the Sunset on the Water. A great band was playing on the patio overlooking the lake. Get there early for a table, this place is very popular.

First time ever visiting and they knocked it out of the park for my family of 7. We were treating my father for his 75th birthday and he had heard good things about this place so it was his choice to come here. It was a 45 minute drive for us and we would do it again in a heartbeat. We had 2 young females serving us, 1 of which was in training. They were so attentive and friendly....truly a wonderful representation of customer service done right. When they heard it was my father's birthday, they presented him with a special brownie dessert which put the biggest smile on his face and was not something we even asked for! In addition, we had a hiccup with my son's entree and they insisted on replacing it. They even took a picture of our group. The food was great, but these two young ladies are truly what left a lasting impression and make use want to return.

This is a really nice place on the lake. It has a nice patio with a great view of the lake and during the summer there is no place better to go. Maria is the owner and she really cares what you think. Many years ago the Sunset was a really nice and swanky supper club and the food and drinks were the best in town. Now it's just bar food, but it's pretty good. The service by and large is good. There is plenty of parking. What you can't beat is the view and the location. If you're looking for a nice place to go and have some fun you won't be disappointed.

Ok, i don't do a lot of reviews but I just had to do this one! Our server David was super awesome and had a best smile and attitude! I had Gyro and my husband had Works Burger! Food was super good :). They have super cute patio with a great view of the lake! 100% recommending this chill place!
