Sunny Side Up Cafe

Breakfast was nice & atmosphere was pleasant. First time here & service was quick w/hot coffee & good reasonably priced food. Would absolutely go back to this cute lil gem :)

I wish I could give a better review, but alas we (wife and I) walked in at 1:31 pm today and were ignored for about 3 minutes before we decided to walk out.The server stood in the back (kitchen) in the doorway talking to someone. We could easily see her and she could see us. She didn't look over or acknowledge us at all.There was 1 other couple in the restaurant, sitting in a booth, and they would look at us, then look back at the server, then back at us and shrug.We were looking forward to giving the place a try, but I guess that is not going to happen. Small businesses should strive for some level of customer service, not this for sure.

A bit tucked away, so much so that I almost drove past it twice! Very friendly staff. Immediately seated and a waiter/server stopped by soon to provided a menu. It looks very much like a local breakfast nook. The decor is very cozy and homey. Add some charm to the place and really made it feel local. I ordered a veggie omelette and coffee. Usually my go to in unfamiliar breakfast places as a vegetarian. The food was good but nothing surprising or unique. The menu was quite extensive. I'm sure there is something for everyone here. Quality local food for a good price. It's worth a stop if you are in the mood for breakfast food and local charm in New Berlin.

We stopped in on our 5 hour drive back home. It was mid morning on a Sunday so we knew everything would be packed. Fortunately for us there was a gap and we pulled off the highway at the perfect time. My wife went for the Danish waffle and I the Trail Boss. Both meals were flavorful and resembled the flavor profile of some higher end brunch spot. This place is an absolute Gem and worthy of a visit.

I went with a group today. They were kind enough to do separate checks. Hurrah!! The waitress was efficient. I ordered a Wild West burrito. When it arrived I asked for salsa. She brought a a small container and said there would be an upcharge of 75 cents. I said no thank you. Can you imagine serving a burrito with no salsa? Neither can I. I ate half of it there ( it wasn't bad) and took the rest home for lunch. With my own salsa.

It's been years since my only other visit to Sunny Side Up Cafe, so I thought I'd stop again since there was an omelette that caught my eye and I didn't recall if that's what I had on my previous visit. I called in an order to go that consisted of the Munster Monster Aahh!!! omelette, which comes with pancakes and smashed Yukon potatoes on the side.The pancakes were meh. Not exactly fluffy, but not dense either. They had almost no sweetness to them and needed the syrup that came with them in my to go bag.The omelette and potatoes were equally meh. I don't get the point of including huge chunks of bland potato in the omelette if you're also going to have the omelette come with a side of bland smashed potatoes. There was some "spicy" seasoning on the omelette, but not enough to be noticable other than the color it added. The omelette is large and I appreciate the use of muenster cheese as it's my favorite cheese, but neither of those points make me want to have it again.

Excellent service by Bethany and the hostess, a fun "spirit fingers" check-in by an owner/manager, and a smiling farewell when we had to leave--we were appreciative and felt appreciated! Delicious mimosas and Bloody Marys and incredible food...eggs Benedict, tasty ham, breakfast sandwich, great biscuits and gravy...A+ in every way. We loved the decorations and colorful vibe.

Good food and great service. Every time we come there we're greeted with a smile! Love their breakfast croissant!

Food was amazing!!! Staff was great. The bacon is so delicious. Our daughter loves coming here very family friendly.

We stopped here once..food was like warm...could not get a second cup of coffee and workers yelling their conversations to customers over your head while your trying to enjoy your own time eating. Also we were frozen as the front door was kept open. No not a place to sit and enjoy yourself. Especially when you're paying for it.
