Sunmist Cafe

Note - this restaurant closed permanently a few years ago - around 2022-3. It used to have decent family restaurant faire. I suggest Elizabeth's - which is directly across the street. Note - they are not open for dinner.

Sad to see the Sunmist closing! Wonderful food, great service and good times. My skillet was just what I needed for a Sunday brunch. The pancakes were big and fluffy. Everything was very affordable. Our service was excellent. To any restaurants in the area that need servers, I would recommend reaching out to the Sunmist since they are closing.All in all, a great experience. I wish I could've gone more!

My family went out for breakfast at sunmist and we were surprised and pleased with the portion size. The food was great and the environment was quiet and pleasant. The staff made sure to check up on us and refill our coffees before they ran out. The last time we visited, the restaurant was a little too warm to be comfortable eating in but we were also expecting colder temperatures that day. Overall, I would say this place is definitely worth the money!

Probably a 3.5 from me - Sunmist is your standard family restaurant/diner, serving up classics and comfort food at reasonable prices. The good: *My husbands corned beef hash - really tasty and served with eggs and toast*My "popeye" omelet had a huge amount of spinach which I really liked *Two giant breakfasts + drinks was like $20*Option to have fruit instead of potatoes, I always appreciate that *Fast, friendly serviceThe bad:*Social distancing/limiting capacity? Yeah not really a thing here sadly. Employees were wearing masks though.*The above mentioned fruit was a foul mixture of canned fruit cocktail (dear god, why???) and fresh melon. I picked out the melon.*Most of the bacon in my omelette was really undercookedOverall, not bad for a basic breakfast and definitely a good overall value.

We enjoyed lunch at the Sunmist Cafe. They serve Delicious fresh brewed iced tea. Clean and pleasant surroundings. Friendly and professional staff. Homemade chicken noodle soup is wonderful. Salad has homemade ranch dressing. We enjoyed the patty melt sandwich and the liver and onions dinner.

Two families on vacation in Delavan. We went to Sunmist Cafe for a late breakfast today. We are now well fed and satisfied. 6 of us walked in and were met with a smile and told we could sit anywhere. The waitress came around with menus and took our beverage orders. Service was great, but the food was excellent. Most of us opted for Country Fried Steak and Eggs with pancake side. Eggs, steak, hash browns and gravy were fresh, hot and tasty. The pancakes were top notch. If I returned I'd probably order a stack of pancakes. Saw several locals coming in for lunch specials. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend Sunmist Cafe.

Once a year my boyfriend and I dog sit for his brother in Williams Bay. I had a hankering for breakfast. Do not pre-judge this restaurant.I ordered tomato juice (they didn't have V-8), 2 eggs over easy, and toast ( I ordered the wheat bread although the extremely accommodating waitress explained several other bread choices).The best over easy eggs I have ever had. Hands down.Can't wait to return!

Great diner. I have been here a few times and always pleased by the service and quality of food. Clean setting. Good prices.I had a Patty melt and fries. Good meat and onion ratio. Fries are crisp. Gyro is generous. Olive burger is a good treat.

Came here for breakfast a few weekends ago. Previously had tried the diner across the street for breakfast and hated it. This place was way better. Best French toast I've had in a long time. Only downside was the coffee wasn't great but still way better than the place across the street (their coffee was awful).

Sunmist has the best pancakes around! Their breakfast is priced lower than Elizabeth's, and taste great. The staff is always friendly. We go here regularly, and have never had a bad experience.
