Some good photo ops. There's an option for private room for big groups with no extra fees which is nice for a big family celebration. Hibachi is still fun for the kids and teens, entertaining for adults and seniors alike. You get to share the hibachi table with another group if you have a smaller group. Food is good.

I got a sushi roll and it was very good. Other people at my table got dinner entrees and sushi and it sounded like the food was good all around. We were given a private room which was wonderful because I was visiting family from out of state. Unfortunately, our service was relatively poor. We would need to ask for things multiple times to receive it. The service was also very slow. I would be back.

I came here with a friend awhile ago for sushi/Asian fare. I ended up choosing the bento box which I really enjoyed. I also ordered the hot sake which was affordable, and surprisingly generous amount that lasted me the entire meal. Service was pretty good. When we went it was quiet, but there wasn't anything specifically good to write home about or to dislike. I loved that the place is so large that you can have a sit down dinner away from the noise of the hibachi grills. It allowed for good conversation. Next time I plan to do the hibachi!

Fun place to visit for a birthday or celebration with hibachi. Sushi is decent too. Service has always been great. Not a bad choice if you're looking for something on the east side and like hibachi.

Food is usually pretty ok. You decide if you want hibachi or sushi walking in. Service is spot on when you're getting hibachi. Full attention of staff consistently, no worries there. When you get sushi you're kinda tucked away and it's usually hard to get the bill or get service if you need to flag someone down. Ambiance is ok, this place was phenomenal when it opened and it's starting to look like a bit of a run down version of its opening look. Still not a bad option, one of the better options in the area, also not my first pick.

The service was very nice and quick too! The food, delicious. I got sushi, 3 rolls. They have lunch specials on Saturday! You can pick 2 rolls and get miso soup for a lunch special option. So I got a big roll off the menu and then a lunch special of sweet potato and shitake roll and miso soup. I loved the sauces, I got the madison roll the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The presentation of the rolls was really pretty too! I would come here again.

I went to Sumo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar with family to celebrate my mother in law's birthday! When I walked in, I was really impressed with their beautiful decor & ambience that reminded me of Japan! I loved their festive beautiful bar area! They have an amazing large selection of exotic drinks such as sake, Japanese plum wine, tropical drinks, & their amazing rum volcano cocktail. Sumo also has a large selection of delicious sushi with amazing beautiful presentation! They also had lots of different hibachi selections.I tried the steak & shrimp hibachi dinner which comes with onion soup, a salad, and the main hibachi entree including delicious fried rice with vegetables along with steak & shrimp. Their Hibachi dinner showroom is a fun great place for family celebrations including kids or even for a nice date night! Their dinner show is very interactive as a skilled chef cooks the food right in front of you with flair, funny jokes, and performing different tricks including making an onion volcano that is lit on fire. They also do a fun veggie or broccoli toss where the chef tosses the veggies and you try to catch them in your mouth from your seat which is funny & entertaining for the guests especially kids who seem to really like that! :) Overall, their food was excellent with artistic beautiful presentation of the food especially for the sushi! My husband wouldn't stop raving about how much he loved their Yum Yum sauce (Japanese steakhouse mayo) which came with our hibachi meals!!! We had such a great time & appreciated their hospitality, as the friendly staff made sure we had an overall great experience including making sure my mother in law had a wonderful birthday at Sumo! They were a little short staffed but still made sure to provide great customer service that they were able to! I definitely plan to return again for more amazing dinners and would also like to come back to hang out out at their beautiful bar with plenty of Sake!

Service was great. Food was delicious. The food almost came out too fast for my liking though. We got the side salads. Only a few minutes later our sushi rolls. Then a few minutes after that our main courses. Good thing it was just the two of us because our table was full of plates. Wish they would have spread things out just a tad more. Just felt a bit rushed overall. Would have loved to sit at the hibachi but my dish my daughter didn't want to wait 30+ minutes. Maybe next time.
