Summer House Grill & Bar on Lake Delton

Wow, what a beautiful place to dine outdoors! After all the yuck of Wisconsin Dells tourist traps, this restaurant feels like it is out of a book. There is also a new little bougie ice cream place next door if you want to get an icecream while you wait on your table. The only sad part was they do not really have any vegetarian options sans a pasta and Zoodles. There was a veggie burger posted on a menu online, but they no longer have it. Tears. If they could have a veggie burger then it would hit the five stars!You must, must order the bucket of cheese curds and the giant pretzel! We were big fans.Tip: The kid's macaroni and cheese is literally Kraft macaroni. Skip that for sure.

Our duck tour guide recommended this place, and I'm glad she did. I really liked that the menu had some unique items. The outdoor seating is amazing. It offered a great view of the lake.

Beautiful location! Greeted immediately by hostesses. We sat outside and had a great view of the lake. Our server was quick to take our order and our food arrived quickly as well. The peel and eat shrimp were seasoned well and tasted fresh. The zucchini salad was large and very good. The lemon vinaigrette was very tart so a little goes a long way!

Sat outside to an amazing view at night of the lake. Food and drinks were fantastic. Three of our group got the pasta salad - big fan.Would give a 5 star except service was not quite there. Incorrect food given though it was quickly fixed. Friend found a long hair in his food (was given a new bowl but still) and the bugs out at night would attack. Would give it another shot, hope for better next time.

We came to Summer House on a whim and for a friend's birthday. Rained out camping at Wildcat grabbing a spot in the Dells was the next best thing. I've never been to the Dells and stayed for any amount of time so our one night was a first. Rain had stopped and the evening proved to be a gorgeous one. We made reservations for eight on the deck and enjoyed drinks, food, and a kick ass view! My walleye fish sandwich was so good. It was much better than the first plate of sautéed walleye the first brought out. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and the service was spot on. Really can't ask for much more for serving up a table full of hungry hooligans! Pictures tell the tale of our summer evening at the Summer House!

Stopped in for a later dinner with my husband & brother in law on a Friday night. We sat outside, and enjoyed the nice weather! Our server, Carley, was fantastic. I asked her for recommendations because I was too hungry and couldn't choose. She recommended the Patty Melt & she did not let me down!! IT WAS SO GOOD! She was attentive and so friendly! We enjoy our experience very much. :) will be back next time we come up to the dells from Milwaukee

Great vibe right in Lake Delton! The patio is awesome, totally covered and right on the lake. The servers are very nice, and the place is always hopping but not is the typical Wisconsin Dells way. There is a big crowd, but not a chaotic crowd. It's really nice to get off the main drag when eating at Summer House, you don't feel like you are in a tourist town. The reason I dropped a star is the food. It's good, but not great. Probably better than most touristy spots in the Dells, but most things miss by a hair. The steak frites was good, but too much butter on top, a good steak can stand alone. The garden salad is good, but the dressing is blah. The Turkey BLT had good flavor but way too much bread compared to the ingredients. The beer hummus is beautiful, but only came with two things to dip. The walleye got great reviews and the kids menu was good. I only got a picture of the calamari, it was good as well. We would definitely go back if we are in Wisconsin Dells. I only hope someone updates their website between now and then, it's definitely of date: menu and pricing.

First, if you can manage it, ask for Phillip as your waiter. He's engaging and informative about items on the menu. The setting is lovely and the food was delicious. Phillip recommend trying the cheese curds. Since we are from NC, we decided to try them. No regrets as we cleaned up the entire bowl!!

The restaurant is very pretty and the views can't be beat but is the service and food lacking!The two stars were for the drinks-pineapple smash was excellent!I ordered the shrimp and corn chowder. I was so excited for it but when it came it was so disappointing. The bacon was undercooked, there was maybe one total shrimp in there and the smoky flavor was so overpowering, I couldn't finish it.I ordered the shrimp chopped salad and asked for no tomatoes. It came out with no tomatoes but with red pepper and onions??? No where in the description did it list either and there was so little avocado lime dressing it was just a bunch of dry lettuce.Service was also pretty poor. It took longer to get our order in and we were never checked on. The waiter really acted like he could care less.It's definitely not worth the $70+ bill.
