Sullivan's Foods - Marengo

You know it's not a bad store... it's the staff. So unbelievably rude! The people who are clearly in management positions never smile, nor do they really make eye contact, I feel like I am just being straight up ignored by some of these people. God forbid you ask a question, I literally had a women who works here roll her eyes at me when I asked about the location of something.The last thing... the hours, what a joke, you never know when they will be open.Someone needs to puts in a decent effort and open a competing store, maybe then they will improve.

I use to really like this store and still do like the profits they sell and the bake goods are great however they have a women that works there and she is beyond the RUDEST customer service employee I have EVER came across . She has been rude to the cashiers that are training right in front me as they checked me out was very awkward and then she had never been nice. I tolerate it like I said I like the store however I am done and people need to know as well. I contacted Sullivans and they did not even respond so I assuming she probably knows people within the store however be really aware of Eileen the employee as customer service . I did provide details to the store and can here they are just long. I had an exchange will share one and she was like "Nope nope that is not the right price they were in the wrong box" when I ask she just said "Nope " again mind you I purchased already so they were mine I paid and she was carrying what I paid for through out the store to find the box someone must have moved them to which there were a-lotOf the ones I purchased in the box that read 1.99 and also it was only off a dollar as well to make it even worse however her attitude I returned them after she touched them and walked around with what I had already bought . She is so nasty her attitude she has to be a very sad miserable person ! And would give zero stars if could for her customer service however the store is nice but she has to have some training !

Although this store isn't as big as the big brand names it is a great little store for the neighborhood. I certainly do appreciate the fact that they have a sign RECOMMENDING the use of masks in the store and not requiring them for people. Leaving it up to the individual is how this should be approached IMO. No shaming from either side just do what you think is best for you and leave others alone. Thanks Sullivan's Food for understanding that. I'm new to the area and will always go here for my food shopping needs.

Cant believe how over priced things are here. Id say its very lucky for them theres no other competition in town and the next closest grocery store is 15 minutes away. To be fair their salads, dips, and broasted chicken are very good... youll just need to sell a kidney to regularly shop there.

Their Broasted Chicken is legendary, so yummy! But lately, I've been bragging on their BLT Pasta Salad, best around, it's a meal in itself. I love this store. They have a lot of local products but make a lot of their own goodies too. They've got some dynamite cookies, they've got some prepared meat for baking or grilling. Their employees are always helpful and their Deli ladies rock!

As a local, I can't say enough good things about Sullivan's during this crisis. Everyone was upbeat and friendly and doing their best to stock the shelves and make everyone happy. Whatever was not on the shelves on Monday was back on the shelves on 'Tuesday. It is a pleasure to shop at my local market and find everything that I need. Glad they are there helping our community through this hard times. Keep it up.

This store is the perfect size for the community. Frankly they have a better selection than I expected. It's clean, well-organized and bright inside.

Nice addition for grocery in the area produce is pretty fresh The place is clean and is stocked pretty well In the deli case there's fried chicken. Meat looks good too in the butcher dept.Which looks really good havnt tried yet but plan too . Hope this place does well

Only real option for groceries in Marengo. High prices as a result. Good in a pinch but not for regular shopping trips.

I like Sullivans. The produce is super and the selection is good.
