Ok so i do a pro con kind of review cause its easier to write and to read:Pros:-tasty and cute looking cupcakes-very nice service-adorable shopCon:-little pricy-feels empty inside the shopMy experience:I went in with my boyfriend for the first time and the lady at the counter was very helpful with what to pick out. This place is amazing!!! The cupcakes are delicious- always different weekly and monthly flavors. Never had one I didn't like! It's our go to place for special birthday treats- especially when everyone likes different flavors. They also have ice cream, cookies, and frosting shots! It's a cute shop with very friendly employees too! It's our favorite and it will be your favorite too. Bonus they have a loyalty program as well. Who doesn't like free stuff!!

My fiancée brought me here for my bday to buy me a cupcake . I chose my favorite- red velvet. It add prob the best cupcake I've ever had! We've taken several trips since then and joined the club, however is kind of bogus you must spend $10 to get a point. I don't think it adds up- must spend the $10 for a point to go towards future purchases, rather than $3 this trip and $7 the next- however I could be wrong. (When I went to pay, it said no points earned). They have a good selection of cupcakes- we got a skittles kind for my fiancées bday and we tried the macarons on a separate visit. I'll definitely be back- I really wanna try the oatmeal pies!! Love this place!

My mom's side of the family is originally from Rockford, and whenever there is a special occasion (read: shower), we order cupcakes from Sugar Jones (the churro cupcakes are a family favorite). This most recent shower, my mom also ordered custom cookies to fit the mountain theme. Boy, did Sugar Jones deliver. They were not GORGEOUS, but also very tasty with a hint of almond. For the future, I think we're only ordering custom cookies from now on, knowing the edible beauty that Sugar Jones can create!

I have been hearing about this Sugar Jones cupcake place for a long time from friends. Due to covid and my family not living in Rockford anymore we hadn't had a chance to try these until now. Every flavor was amazing... From now on we will make sure anytime we are passing through town we will stop and pick up a box of these sweet treats. These cupcakes would make wonderful little gifts, holiday treats, and on and on. Packed with great fresh flavors and ingredients... Sugar Shayn say nice job

I do not recommend getting a birthday cake from here, not entirely the best service as they weren't honest over the phone about what size the cake would be, and for as expensive as this place is (HIGHWAY ROBBERY) you'd expect it to be good, but it just isn't. Sad face :((( Entire family was not happy with this cake. We will not come here again ever so steer clear.

The service was really lovely, unfortunately the desserts were just not good overall. I liked the cupcake cake but the frosting was gritty and made my mouth dry out. The dessert shots had no variation of flavor, the few I did try were supposed to be different flavors but all tasted the same. The cheesecake well, that was so bad. I'm all for not sickeningly sweet desserts but this had no flavor.

Went in Saturday 7/24 to buy 6 cupcakes. Got home and opened the box. Shocked! These cupcakes were $1.85 each. They were 1/2 the size I bought a few months ago. No exaggeration. The little chocolate candy that was on top before is now a little sprinkle-type of non-pareal tiny candy, no chocolate. I just feel they have ripped their loyola following off, just like all the other stores do. I find nothing special about this shop now. My money is going to By the Dozen Bakery going forward. They have top quality and prices are very competitive. Sadly, Sugar Jones has no longer serving their customers with a quality product, at a fair price! Sad. The cupcakes on their store photo is what they "used" to look like!

I wish I could say these cupcakes they sell are fresh and tasty but that would be a lie. I've been here several times and almost every time I buy something from this bakery it is not fresh. They taste like they are a few days old. What a disappointment considering they are not cheap. I am done buying from here. I seriously think they are selling day old or even 2 day old baked goods.

Shoutout to sugarjones. When my girlfriend asked for a bakery suggestion since she'd be in Rockford (she lives in the North Shore) the day before her sons birthday party. It was an easy ask and I gave her my top 5 recommendations with Sugar Jones topping the list. They were able to make it happen on short notice and provided 40 of the best cupcakes our guests have tasted. They took care of the order remotely with accuracy and flexibility and packed the order for transport and freshness. Even with a bag getting thrown on top of the box on the drive out of town, the cupcakes were completely unaffected and arrived in perfect condition.
