Stone Porch Ale House

This was a birthday dinner and a chance to try a restaurant we had never been to before, overall, great dining experience, good service, delicious drinks, large portions, and great menu variety!I highly recommend their flatbreads/pizzas for appetizers. The Margarita flatbread/pizza was outstanding. Each of us ordered something different, but the salad with beets was phenomenal, the prime rib special tasted great, and the desserts were also delicious -- we ordered one of each.Our server was very nice, but sometimes lingered way too long and came back to ask us what we ordered multiple times. We also thought the welcome and seating folks could have been more welcoming and kind, but they were also so busy -- probably because this place is delicious and has a good atmosphere.We would go back, and I recommend for groups and going out.

I had heard good things about Stone Porch Ale House, so decided to stop in over the weekend for date night. I had no idea it is where the old Gray's Tied House was! I was thrilled to see that something had gone into that space, because it's perfect for a restaurant - very spacious.I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, because it's one of my favorite meals, and must check it out whenever I see it on a menu somewhere. It comes with your choice of a side, so I opted for the house chips with French onion dip. The chips were crispy with the perfect thinness, and the dip was a great addition - I've never seen that as an option with a side before! The sandwich itself was just okay, there were two fried chicken thighs, but one was really rubbery and tough to chew, so I ditched it and just ate the one. I enjoyed the pickles and garlic aioli, but the taste of the seasoning blend was more sweet than spicy - definitely not how I imagine a Nashville hot to be. I probably wouldn't get it again. My husband enjoyed his Apple Brandy Alexander, and I opted for Coke, which came in cute mason jars. I always enjoy when restaurants have fun glasses! Due to the location and the menu options, we will likely return, but I definitely plan to try some other items!

We dined in with a group of 7 and had a wonderful experience! The hostess recommended for future visits to use their online reservation system for a group of our size, which was a nice tip. We were seated and our server came by quickly. He was kind and friendly, and he did a great job continuing to check in on us throughout our meal. I ordered the gouda pub burger and it was delicious. The chips were not my favorite - they were a little too oily for me. However, I got to try the cornbread (one of their other sides), which was tasty, and I like that you get butter and honey to spread onto it. Overall, we had a lovely time and we look forward to coming back!

Great food and tons of beer choices equals excellent new restaurant in Verona. We made a reservation on their website easy enough. We had studied the menu online in advance of our meal. I started with a side salad with red wine vinaigrette. The server stated this dressing is a favorite of customers, and I agree. The salad was a nice size and very fresh. My husband had the French Onion Soup. He liked it, but it could have used a bit more salt. I chose the shrimp po boy sandwich for my main. It did not disappoint. Four very large deep-fried shrimps were so tasty with the fresh tomato slices, lettuce, and a mildly spicy remoulade sauce. It's just the best combination of flavors, A+!

Excellent service. Plenty of options to choose from. Everyone really liked their meals. Nice atmosphere.

The food at this restaurant was average at best and I am extremely hard of hearing and the acoustics are very bad. But what really soured our stay is when we got back outside to our vehicle. We drive a high end pick up and am always careful where we park it. So when I seen a parking stall available next to the owners sports car, I thought that would be a safe place to park. Upon returning to our vehicle, we noticed that the owner had put a note on our windshield condemning us for parking next to his car even though we were legally parked in the parking lines. I can never patronize a place where an owner is this arrogant.

If I could give NO STARS, I would. Went there with a group of parents and boys (in between lacrosse games) when the restaurant had maybe 2 tables of customers. We wanted the boys to sit together and offered to have the parents break up into separate tables... The manager/owner was so rude! She obviously didn't know how to handle a large group. She didn't want to move tables and raised her voice at parents. She even told us that we'd only get get one bill and we'll just have to figure it out yourselves. She got so flustered that she told us to just leave - that their kitchen couldn't handle it. Even gave attitude saying something along the lines of - Good luck trying to find another place that'll take your group without reservations!Well, just in case she reads this... Draft House Bar & Restaurant was SO accommodating! They were totally welcoming, sat our group right away and had great drinks and food!

Probably a 3.5 rating, to be fair. My friend and I sat at the bar while we waited for our table (it was Saturday night, and very busy). It took awhile to get waited on, but we could see that bartenders were swamped. My Manhattan was amazing. It would have been nice if Stone Porch had a system for transferring your bar tab to the dinner tab, because once our table was ready it was awkward getting a bartender's attention and taking the time, to close out.Dinner was good except for the timing. We both ordered French Onion soup as an appetizer, but our entrees came before we were even halfway through the soup. I had the Cuban, which was traditional (I got it without the red onion) and very good; it's hard to find a place that has a Cuban around these parts! We both ordered wine, and it was a very small pour. I'm guessing 3 oz, maybe 4 oz, but definitely not the traditional 5 oz pour, which was disappointing. I'd go back though, for the Manhattan and the Cuban, and would probably skip the appetizer and wine.

Food was great. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries and the Bacon Bleu Burger with coleslaw. Both were amazing. We also got cheese curds - not our favorites, but we still at them all so what does that tell you?Service was also great. The server was very nice and attentive.

Onion rings were great. Gnocchi was pasty and needed to be pan seared moreWalleye was good Prime rib sandwich was goodPortobello burger was not so good. The portobello was small over cooked smushed and had no flavor.
