Stinebrink's Piggly Wiggly - Lake Geneva

Needed a couple things for dinner, so I stopped back in here. Although I left a bad review a few years ago, the store has completely changed over with new management. The store was very clean, and the prices were very low. The staff was very kind and helpful. What a difference a few years make.

So happy there is still a Piggly Wiggly grocery store around, as the one we used to go to in IL closed quite some time ago. We have family that live in Lake Geneva and we shopped at the Piggly Wiggly a couple times while visiting the area. We were especially happy to see they have a whole new gluten-free section at the back of the store (at the back of the bakery side of the store). The gluten-free section has a variety of frozen foods, along with shelf-stable dried pastas, cookies, crackers, pretzels, baking mixes, breads, etc. We were disappointed we couldn't find any Vegan ice cream there, though, so we had to go to the nearby Walmart for that. They also have a small floral department with some nice floral arrangements & plants at various price points. The staff at the checkout were always upbeat and friendly each time we stopped in.

Hadn't been to a Piggly Wiggly in years. Stopped by for a late night shopping trip in Lake Geneva. Loved the stroll down "memory lane."Such a clean store with such friendly employees. After eight, unfortunately the deli was not open, but stocked up on fruits, veggies, local jams, fresh bread and Wisconsin cheese for a mini vacation. Look for specials on fruits and vegetables. Blueberries were three pints for $5. Seedless watermelon was $2.99. English cucumbers for $.99. The local tomatoes were so good. Check out the wall of local Wisconsin products like jellies and jams. The dairy section has a large selection of Wisconsin cheese and cheese curds from local dairies. Perfect place to shop for a weekend getaway to th lake.

This chain has always been over priced for me. We stop here when needing something quick. Usually a medium size store in a neighborhood serving a small local community.

If you live in the area, there aren't too many grocery store options to choose from. This store typically has fresh produce and meats. In the past few months, some of the items have been out of stock due to supply chain issues that's affecting all grocery stores. Recently I bought a pack of pork chops that was on "special". Visually it looked ok in the store. When I opened the package at home, it had a funky smell. They shouldn't be selling old, expired meats. Avoid anything that is priced low and advertised as a special.

Be very careful in the deli department. I asked for a half pound of ham and the woman cutting and then weighing it said it's a little over, I walked over to the scale to see and it was more than a quarter of a pound over. Then asked for potato salad that was priced at 2.29 per pound and when the same woman weighed it she set the scale at 2.99 a pound, I caught it and she said the scale automatically goes to 2.99, Yeh right!Not much of a difference but if they do this all day long and no one catches it, it comes to a good amount by the end of the day.

Worst super market in Lake Geneva. Don't waste your time. Organic food - section is a scam. Mostly rotten produce. God please send a Jewel asap!

lived in lake geneva for 3 years and came here almost every day. came in tonight and noticed a bird flying around in the store. they said yea its been here a cpl weeks. were waiting for it to die.i said are u kidding me? it's called go to homedepot get a trap and put some bird food in it.totaly unacceptable. ive worked in stores and had birds get in. you trap them and get them out.on top of the fact that means that bird is flying around shitting on everything. like am i buying veggies that have been shit on?dont support animal abuse of any kind.will be making a call to health dept in a.m.ontop of all that whats the bird eating that its still alive after 2 weeks???

What an annoying store. Prices are marked up and the cashiers talk about you behind your back and snicker, not to mention the fact they can't do basic math. Won't ever go back. I hope Wal Mart crushes you.

Rewrapped meat on the edge. This is the 2nd time that chicken wings were bad. They were labeled well beyond the date that I bought them as if they were just packaged...but they smled bad and were slimy. I had always thought of this store as a place I could trust for quality. NO MORE!
