Amazing staff and comprehensive selection. I couldn't be happier. If they don't have what you want, they will recommend an alternative or try to order it for you.

I want to commend Steve's for practicing safe protocol during these uncertain times. Steve's has remained open, limiting their hours and taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of their customers and staff. We were happy to pick up a few things last weekend to have a little fun! Steve's is a go-to for great selection and continually offers new and exciting limited releases of beers and spirits. The staff are all knowledgeable and eager to help you find what you're looking for, or even offer a recommendation! Thanks Steve's!

Good selections of craft beer at reasonable prices, maybe $1 or $2 higher than you would find at Woodman's or HyVee but that's a small price to pay to support local.They more than make up for it with their occasional sales.Dog friendly!

You're never open when posted I call and ask and you say 10 to 7 I look online it says 11 to 7 you guys need to get your stuff together it might be a pandemic but come on... you still know how long it takes you to drive to work! Also Your employees do not wear masks what a joke as your webpage says your cleaning procedures are improved yet your coughing on my bag put on a mask

Great selection and prices. Staff has always been helpful. However, I tried to go to Steve's during half time of the Packer game on Sunday to get extra drinks for our Packer party. I drove across town just to go to Steve's. The sign on the store said "open" and the hours posted on the door indicated that the store would be open another 2-3 hours. The doors were locked and there was no staff in the store. We even stayed and waited for a while to see if any staff would surface and no one did. There were other customers pulling up as we drove away, so I think Steve's missed out on several customers by not being open when the posted hours said they'd be open.

I love Steve's on McKee. I almost exclusively come here for wine now; no where else even comes close especially in terms of customer service. It's usually difficult for me to select wine based on the varietal, vintage, and region alone, so I like to ask questions, and my tastes can really vary from day to day... (I'm a difficult customer what can I say)At Steve's, the resident wine expert (I think her name is Jessica) is extremely helpful and friendly, and after going there just a time or two, she remembered me and my taste preferences. I'm never disappointed when I go with her recommendations! She also knows A LOT about wine, so I can learn a thing or two while I'm shopping - always a plus for me!The beer selection seems wonderful too with the large walk-in fridge. I sometimes get beer here (they're very knowledgeable about beer as well), but I will always walk away with one or two bottles of wine - yay!

Grabbed some sour beer, bitters, stout beer and luxardo cherries at Steve's today. Great selection in this store! They had good prices and were running some nice sales on popular items too. I've been in a few other times and I still take about a half hour just wandering the store. I've had to correct some pricing errors at the check out.

If you're buying liquor, wine or beer in Madison, you need to stop at Steve's.The prices might be slightly more expensive here than at a big box but the most service you'll get at a big box is locating where something is. At Steve's you can take as much time as you want asking questions about the product and getting suggestions for what you're looking for. They're also on top of releases and what's happening in the industry. And if you need something specially ordered, they can oblige.As a beer snob, I really appreciate their knowledge and selection. Lots of great American craft beers (especially local WI beers - so stop here if you're from out of town!), and a robust selection of Belgians - many of which are exclusive to this location.I also appreciate that I'm notified of hard to get releases before they even arrive at the store. If you're into cellaring beer (and you really should be), they are a great resource.And when I'm looking to bring wine to a party or as a gift, I'm too inexperienced to really know what to grab. They're more than happy to help you, and if you know what kind of flavors the recipients like, they can really tailor it to the audience. And they also have kegs in stock if you're into partying.At this location, you can ask Amanda, Wayne, or Tom for help.Hours are as follows:Monday & Tuesday: noon - 9pmWednesday - Saturday: 9am - 9pmSunday: noon - 6pmMy only criticism is that none of the Steve's open before Noon on Sundays. You know that NFL games start at Noon right? How about opening at 11:30 am?

Normally we like coming here. But this was the second time in a row that we have come to this location during posted business hours and no one was there. While we waited to see if anyone would show up to work 6 other people showed up and left. You are losing the business and the respect of your customers by running this location like this.
