Sparks Grill is my favorite breakfast and lunch restaurant in all of Marquette County, WI. Once again I had a wonderful brunch at Sparks, but this time I'm going to tell you about it. I am a fanatic about corned beef hash. Not the greasy stuff out of the Hormel can, I'm talking about the real deal, HOMEMADE corned beef hash. Its meaty, it has just the right amount of hash browns and onions in it and its fried up to perfection. ((Hint: sit at the counter and you can watch your breakfast or lunch being made!)) The owner is a young gentleman who runs an excellent restaurant, the service is great and was provided by a cheerful waitress and your order comes out quickly. What more could you ask for? Do yourself a favor, go to Sparks Grill and try the corned beef hash! You'll be glad you did....

We were meeting up with family and wanted to grab breakfast at a halfway point for both of us, which was Montello.We decided on Sparks Grill and really enjoyed our experience! It is off the beaten path and not by anything else. You'll notice as you walk in that they only accept cash or check. But they do have an ATM on site if you happen to be like me, and never carry cash.The inside is a very nostalgic feel with a counter and lots of seating. The kitchen area is actually right behind the counter seating, which is pretty cool.The price point is pretty standard, but the food was all homemade and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be making this our regular "meet up" spot!

Prices are getting crazy. Hashbrowns are always under done, don't know what over medium means and here's the kicker...side of hash...$8.30. For a SIDE!( Which was 80%hashbrowns)NOPE NOPE NOPE . Much better down the road in Harrisville.

My sister lives in Montello (population 1448), and it's a cute little town with a great "hole in the wall" restaurant. When visiting from Texas, she brought me here for a breakfast. YUMMY! They have a huge menu and seems like everything on it is good. The place was hopping on a Friday mid-morning. Great food, fast & friendly staff, and the price was right.

Tasteless food, terrible service, the waitress never came back after dropping off the food. I had a different server get me a refill on my drink. Waved the waitress down for our bill and told her the food was bad. She did nothing to correct it.

Disappointing under new ownership. The old Sparks was an amazing well oiled machine with great food and top notch service. New ownership, not so much. Hair in our food today and as I look over at the grill both gentlemen with long hair and one with a beard and no hair nets. Wonder if that meets code. Interior was clean and orderly. Waitress was pretty much non-existant. No refills and had to beg for the check. Food was average, we both had hamburgers but nothing special about them. They have switched to battered french fries which was very disappointing for us. Not sure what is so hard about a great hamburger, that is what restaurants are judged by. What was once a bright spot in Montello is now just another restaurant.

Was recommended by some guys at the golf course. Stopped in for a quick breakfast today Saturday around 10:00am place was packed but found a spot at the counter. Waited on within a minute ordered Sparks omelette was in front of me in less than 8 minutes! Delicious with red sauce & jalapeños Filled my coffee again and used restroom which was clean, had soap and real paper towels Got my check and was out of there in 25 minutes even though most tables were fullWill definitely be back next time in area

Great food, service only complaint cook the hash browns otherwise great place!!! I'd recommend it to everyone lol

Stopped here as a place to meet friends from another area. One of few places in town that was open for dining. What a pleasant surprise. Excellent service and very friendly. Great menu choices. Food was excellent. Will certainly stop in here again when in the area. We now have a new meeting spot when driving from Wausau.
