Sparkie's Hotdogs

I've driven by this semi-permanent (Mon-Fri) hot dog food truck a bunch of times. Finally decided to stop. Great location just south of down town and on an access road to the lake and beach area. This little hut puts out some great dog! Today I tried the Chili Cheese Dog w/Onions and a Kraut Dog. I have say that I liked them both very much, but the Chili Cheese will be the one to bring me back. The hot dog menu is pretty lengthy, so you should be able to find something you will like. They have root beer floats too! (Using A&W Root Beer). Service was quick and I liked the little patio seating area with the fake stubs and tiny waterfall.

Service was quick and friendly. Chili cheese dog was HOT and delicious. $3.50 was a great price for what you get... Only open for lunch and would recommend strongly.

Sparkie's is a traveling stand that serves Chicago style and other types of hotdogs. They are adequate; but where else can you get such a thing in Sheer-Bore-Dumb. However, the best Chicago style hotdogs were from Paul's Yellow Umbrella in West Rogers Park, Chicago IL.

Sorry, I did care for their cheap tasting and texture hotdogs. I like a good quality beef hot dog in a natural casing with all the 'Chicago-style' toppings.
