Sonny's Kitchen

Sonny's is our favorite breakfast spot in the Madison area. The service is always fast, the coffee always hot, and the food always delicious! The restaurant is very homey and warm, with tons of seats and tables, and natural lighting. We're almost always immediately seated, but the longest we've ever had to wait was 5 minutes on a Sunday around 11AM. A huge shoutout to Xandra, who is the kindest and most welcoming person we've ever met at a breakfast restaurant! It's clear that the whole team at Sonny's care about their work and the satisfaction of their guests. If you live in Madison, you should definitely add Sonny's to your list of spots to hit outside the city!

Stopped in for Sunday breakfast earlier this year. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were able to be seated right away. The interior decor was super cute and they had a nice waiting area in case you did have to wait. Parking is available behind the building with additional street parking, and breakfast is served all day! Portions are large (a little too large for me, as I don't care for taking breakfast food home as left overs) and because of that, I felt prices were a little on the high side for a small town, diner type feel to the restaurant. Food was good, but nothing I would rave about to my co-workers. Service was good as well. There was a pie case by the register that I would be interested in trying, as they looked home made. I would definitely go back. All in all, I think Sonny's is a great addition to Oregon, but not necessarily worth the trip to eat at if you're not already in the area.

What a great find. Stopped for lunch and the food was fresh, hot and amazing taste. They had a couple of tables outside and we were able to get one. Our waitress was super friendly and very nice.I had the grilled chicken spinach melt and it was great.

Food was excellent. Service a little off. 5+ minutes to get a menu. Had to request refills etc. but solid enough. With high ceilings it's beautiful but can be echoey and a bit loud. But the food-second to none. Skillets. Oreo pancakes. Hot, fresh and perfectly flavored. We will be back. Super good!

Too expensive for Perkins quality food. Walked in and it was dead silent. No music no other guests. Very awkward. Service was ok. Food was ok. Flavorless omlette and hashbrowns. 5 bucks for an apple juice. Won't be back.

We went on a Sunday, late morning. Food was ok. Not amazing but not terrible. It was busy so we were patient with our server but we never were asked nor ever got a refill on beverages. We also weren't checked in on until we were asked if we wanted our check. It's a really cute place and I wanted to love it but it was a meh experience.

I tried, really did. First carryout order was a panini gyro sandwich they had posted on Facebook and when we got home it was an English muffin. Their explanation was that it was an older menu item, but why not simply say that on the phone? No need, just sub English muffin, totally the same thing. Gave them a second chance on their eggs benedict, because you can't mess that up, right? Wrong. Splash of hollandaise and the eggs were beyond jelly. Tossed it. How they have managed to stay open in a restaurant space notorious for closing within six months, I have no idea. If you're 70+, this might be the slot for you. Good luck.
