Sol Agave Taste Mexico

First time trying Sol Agave in Germantown. We ordered the margaritas on the rocks - medium size and they were huge and came in a big goblet! Very tasty! Chips and salsa is provided at the table and refills are available. The chips were authentic and the salsa was so good with a nice amount of kick. I ordered the fajitas Acapulco and it included shrimp, scallops and chicken with plenty of onions and peppers. The shrimp were nice sized and the dish was fantastic. Overall the ambience was very nice and not too loud for a Saturday night. The service was outstanding and they kept our drinks always full and the chips and salsa coming. Highly recommend anyone in the area to visit this establishment.

Mexican food is my favorite and I would eat it every day if I could. I have eaten many places but this place isn't it. The best thing about my meal was my spicy margarita. It had a cute little umbrella in it. My tacos al pastor were very fatty. I didn't eat most of the meat. My friend had the steak tacos and he said they tasted like the meat was overcooked. Our server only came over once to check on us before we even took bites and never came back. It has potential but needs to work on their food.

Came back for lunch, excellent service, absolute love the salsa here, and tried the guac for the first time and it was very good. Had the quesabirria tacos and liked them a lot, will keep working my way through the menu. My friend enjoyed the verde enchiladas, huge portion sizes here also, you either leave stuffed or with another meal for home!

My family and I were devastated when La Chimenea in Germantown closed in 2018 and were not impressed the one time we ate at Matteo's after it opened in 2022, so we were looking forward to trying Sol-Agave after it opened in summer 2024. I got a chicken and shrimp burrito, my wife got a cheese quesadilla, one kid got taquitos, and the other kid got a cheeseburger.My wife thought her quesadilla was fine, but nothing special. Unlike me, she liked the rice (I thought it had an odd flavor). The kid that got taquitos didn't like them and I thought the bite I tried was super bland. The kid with the cheeseburger ate it without complaints. My wife didn't like the chips we were given, but the kids and I did (I thought they were fantastic).In my large burrito there were only four shrimp (although they were big ones) and the rest of the filling was chunks of fajita chicken instead of shredded chicken like I guess I was expecting given my limited experience with chicken in burritos at non-fast food Mexican restaurants. The chicken had some marinade/seasoning, but not enough in my opinion. The cheese sauce on top of the burrito was ok.Our search for a Mexican restaurant to replace La Chimenea continues. Like Matteo's, Sol-Agave isn't the answer.

We had a very good experience at our first time at Sol agave.We both had the fajitas, the service was very quick, the food was very fresh.The chips and salsa were top-flight and we ordered extra salsa to go.We enjoyed our first experienceat this new restaurant in the heart of Germantown and we will be back

Was there twice. This time wasn't quite as good though they had plain chips rather than red and green. They give you way too much salsa then keep asking if you want more chips (which we'd never finish and they charge for anyhow). The rice was very dried out and hard. The beans were overly pureed. Some garnish would be nice. Maybe a bit if shredded lettuce or a drizzle of sour cream. The sauce on the burrito was a little dry also. Enchilada sauce was good. Overall, we will keep trying new things. The taco was good. The fish tacos on a prior visit were good as was the California burrito though you don't get rice and beans with it (except white rice and some beans that are inside as part of the filling), so at 16-17 bucks that seems pricy. Still, it was good and I ate all of it!

Good food with a lot of menu options. Great service and well priced. Large portions. Me and my wife shared. Chicken fajita and was not then plenty of food. Would recommend

Came here during daughter's soccer practice around 5ish on a week night. Very fast service even as the restaurant started to get more customers. The food services were enormous and have left overs for lunch. Love the ambiance and colors...it's cool and trendy. Glad we found a place to enjoy a quick date night with great food and service while daughter is at practice.

My husband and I went there for dinner and were seated right away, although the restaurant was pretty full by the time we left. Chips and salsa were brought to the table and drink orders were taken. They have a full bar, but did not try the margaritas during this visit. The chips were warm and the salsa was good. The menu is large and there were so many things on it that sounded good it took some time to decide. I finally decided on the carnitas chimichangas. I've never had such good carnitas, now I understand what the hype is about. My husband had the burrito fajita which he said was excellent. The included rice and beans were on par with most Mexican restaurants. Service was great--fast and attentive. Parking is easy because it's part of a strip mall. We will definitely be back and bring some friends with us.

I had the Veggie Yucatán. It had more veggies than you could expect at a non vegetarian restaurant, made to my liking. The service was great. I'll be back to try more menu items.
