Used to come to this place 15+years ago. The only thing that is the same is the name. The chips served are tostitos heated up. Everything was really salty. We ordered my 2 year old grandson 2 tacos that came to $10. I don't even pay $5 a piece for a taco at most local establishments. Talked to the owner to be advised there was a kid menu that was $2.50/taco but they still never adjusted the bill. Sorry, won't be making the trip back!

My husband remembered eating a phenomenal burrito at Snapper Vick's 20 years ago. We were traveling back from northern Wisconsin and decided to stop for dinner in our way home to Oconomowoc. Our server was "on point" at every aspect of providing excellent service. She suggested that we taste the pulled pork which had been roasted all day. My, my, my....tender, delicious and full of flavor! My husband had his burrito with the pork and I the pork taco salad. The $5.50 Margarita was wonderful! The Mexican restaurants in Oconomowoc have been falling short of our expectations and we have been looking for a better place. We have found it and will be back!

Their Mexican menu is similar to many Americanized Mexican restaurants but I would say that they are better than average. Everyone liked their main entrees. The Nachos Grande appetizer was not very good. They should take that one right off the menu. This is a bar up front and dining in the back. The staff is pretty friendly which is a plus. They sometimes can be very very crowded. The prices are appropriate and relatively inexpensive. Each dish looked very nice when it came to our table and everything was very hot. Service was good and the atmosphere was good too. The flavors were just satisfactory though. We had hoped they would have been better. The salsa was just ok too.So it an "a-ok" place to get a drink and a pretty good meal but there is room for improvement on the dishes. One thing they could start right away which is customary at most Mexican restaurants is a complimentary bowl of chips with some delicious salsa.

When my friend told me to meet at this place I thought I'd just put the address in the GPS and baddabing baddaboom, but my GPS didn't even recognize Woodland as an actual place. That's because this joint is literally in the middle of nowhere. With that being said, at least it was a beautiful evening to take a nice long drive in the country. Parking is across the street near the ditch. This place is divey, not going to lie. However, it was a fun place to hang out, down a few drinks, and play songs on the jukebox. We sat at the bar and service was attentive. Regarding other reviews, I don't know why anyone would expect authentic Mexican food at a place like this. Of course it's not authentic. But the food and drinks are cheap, so that's a bonus. The complimentary chips and salsa were served right away. I got the steak fajita (half order). My only complaint about the food is that they made the fajita for me rather than giving me the tortilla and fixings to make it how I wanted. Also, there were a ton of black olives on it and I've honestly never had olives on a fajita so they just seemed out of place. Other than than, this place was just fine and seems like a great place for locals to grab a drink.

Thought we'd try this place in honor of Cinco de Mayo...nothing is authentic. Americanized Mexican food. Understaffed but the friendly service is giving this place 2 stars. We waited 15 minutes for drinks, 10 to take our order, 25 for food, and received forks after asking twice after our food was served. The chips and salsa were good but a small bowl to dip the chips in the salsa would of been nice. Instead we were given a squeezable plastic container filled with salsa. As for the food...very disappointing and will not return. The main dishes were overpriced for what was received. Never have I been to a Mexican restaurant and have not been served beans and rice. If you order tacos, enchiladas, or fajitas...that's all you get. Not to mention the "steak fajita supreme" dish was served on toasted pita bread, with 4 small bites of steak and overcooked peppers and onions. That's it. Took an extra 10 minutes for our check. Place has potential if they stepped it up a notch or ten.

Absolutely amazing. Have been going here with family for as long as I can remember. The shredded beef is incredible, margs are amazing, supreme nachos are huge and so yummy. Portions are huge for the price. Owner is great and service is always nice.

There was absolutely nothing special about this meal. It's not authentic Mexican, but typical American-Mexican cuisine. The meal tastes like something served at a school or hospital cafeteria. Large portions, reasonable to over priced depending on the menu item, short staffed, mediocre service at best and extremely long wait times (especially for a Sunday). We were surprised at the high reviews for this restaurant which lead us to dining at here.

We are from Hartford via Milwaukee. We have been looking for a decent Mexican place and found it here. Margarita on the rocks was good and cheap. We will return for those. Food was pricey but decent. Chips were the biggest disappointment. Tasted like Tostitos.
