The jambalaya is unbelievably good. I've always come here for the ribs and pork, but I found a new love. The food is phenomenal, but I think the recent service is a bit lacking ... which is the reason for the lack of patronage. It appears that all servers are somewhat lacking in their attentiveness to the patrons, checking in, etc., In fact, the last three time there, there is a corner table in the backroom that all the servers sit at and chat. Hopefully, it will get better.

Had dinner with my book club. We were able to have the back room, which was perfect for us. There are many options to choose from in the menu. I had cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. I enjoyed my meal. The service was great and we will be back again

One of the worst restaurants I've been to in a while. The staff was very nice, but the food was really bad. My pulled pork was really dry, the Jack bites were smothered in a flavorless bbq sauce, and the onion straws were so greasy. My wife got the fish fry and it came with some sauce (not tarter) that was blegh, and potato pancakes that were soggy. She also got a brandy old fashioned that was disgusting. Tasted more like a spiced brandy punch (but worse). The only redeeming part of the meal was a Budweiser for $3.50.

The only thing good was the waitress. I have never had such horrible bbq. It was dry and seemed almost like it was re-warmed. I have the 3 meat (chicken, pulled pork, and brisket) did not even touch the pulled pork besides a bite because it was all hard and dry. Take the drive and go to LDs....i think I would have even preferred a chain like Mission than spending $100 on Silver Spur. Again, the 2 stars is for the waitress. Very friendly.

I placed an online takeout order through Silver Spur's website this afternoon at 04:10 pm. Apparently, after receiving an order confirmation the restaurant didn't see my order. I called them because of the incorrect ready, scheduled pick-up time. The whole experience couldn't of been worse. The restaurant's employees had said I'd have to call Door Dash (their 3rd party online ordering vendor). Uh... no. How is this my responsibility? Luckily, I was just able to cancel the food order online. The Silver Spur employee had never called me back as promised. The poorer spoken English here was also a factor. I really wonder how they've stayed in business thus far? Oh well, time to find a new BBQ place.

Excellent new find for me in Elm Grove. I've probably driven by this place many times but decided to stop and give it a try. I was not disappointed. The server was attentive, the food was tasty and we didn't have to spend a ton of money. We enjoyed our meal and will return!

Had my 25th wedding renewal there 10 years ago today. Frank owned it then. A few new owners since. Stopped in once and the food was still good but the last time we stopped the newest owners didn't look like they knew what they were doing. The famous Silver Spur bloody mary which has been a fabulous staple of this place for many years was horrible. No garnish and watered down. Have not been back since,that been 4 years.

We have gone to this establishment several times, each time hoping that the service will be better. Well, this last visit proved that it has not improved at all. We were the only customers in the restaurant at first. It did get busierlater on. Unfortunately our server was apparently busy with something else because we had to wait a long, long time for our bill. Two coupleswho had come in way later than us actually left before we did. The food is only so so & not worth the aggravation. My husband left a 20% tip, which in my opinion, was way too generous for the poor service we received. I told my husband we won't be coming back.

Fantastic service, great selection of food and drink. Went for a work lunch and sat out on the back deck. Food came in a few minutes from ordering. Highly recommend getting the Fat Jack Sandwich! Staff is friendly and service was great! One of the better BBQ spots in the area.

Great atmosphere and really nice staff. Only been in a few times for early dinner or late lunch and the food is good and the place is super clean.The bar next door is always so crowded and this one is very quiet. Cant figure out why it is not busier all the tiime. I wish the owners well as the staff we have met is really nice and efficient.Nice bar and back room.
