Bavarian-Style Onion Soup. Tomato based, so a little different from French Onion Soup, but very good!

We stopped in to get dinner and were pleasantly amazed by how delicious the food was. How great the prices are. How fun the place looks inside. And how fun and incredible our waitress, Nora is! We had the shrimp and ribs special with baked potato. Started with a delicious chicken dumpling soup and excellent white wines. Then the fall off the bone ribs and nice size fried shrimp came. Everything was done perfectly and brought out quickly by our most skilled waitress we have seen in decades. She didn't miss a thing. Every detail thought of. No wonder drinks are named after her. So we tried her signature nutty Nora after dinner drink-sooo good! We are planning to come back tomorrow too! And come with my husband next visit.

Returned for a third time on a Tuesday evening with six people. Nothing to complain about except the volume of sound in the small room. If you want to chat, pick a time when few people are there. Service, food, and price can't be beat. We had ribs, shrimp, soup, rolls, baked potatoes, and fries all for $16.95 each. And the Brandy Old Fashioned at $4 is a bonus. This is a kind of lost lagoon place known mostly to the locals. For those who know it, however, it's like a private hideaway. The ribs are wonderfully flavorful but made in the Wisconsin "fall-off-the-bone" tradition going back to the way grandma made them in the Nesco, often with kraut. Texas, Memphis or Kansas City ribs are meant to be nuzzled off the bone. Each State has its own tradition.

What a great place with great people serving you. I had all you can eat ribs and shrimp on a Tuesday evening. That and a $4 Old Fashioned for under $25! Amazing! The bbq ribs were fall of the bones good. Fried butterfly shrimp were good but I'd rather have scampi. Picky, I know. The supper club atmosphere was great. Service was wonderful and a great find!Worth the trip. Enjoy!

Friday night fish fry is one the most anticipated events of any trip home to Wisconsin! Parents made a reservation at Silver Lake Country Inn, and we were not disappointed! Parking lot outside has plenty of spots, but this place was hopping!! We got lucky with another guest leaving when we were arriving! The space itself is tight, but didn't feel cramped. Interior is giving Wisconsin supper club vibes with cabiny accents. Our server was to the point, but generally friendly, she had a lot going on but stayed on top of our orders quite well! $4 Old Fashioneds really went down smoothly! We had the Alaskan Cod fish fry with potato pancakes and all the fixings! Loved every bite of this staple! Portion was appropriate for the price and left me very satisfied, but not bursting! Absolutely worth the trip and a great addition to our regular Friday night Fish Fry spots!

We stopped in for the first time and were not disappointed. Great service, food and atmosphere. The new owners are carrying on the long standing tradition of a welcoming neighborhood respite after a long day. We'll be back soon.

Very good, delicious. After waiting for a long time, I finally felt it was worth it. It's not easy to find the road, but there are so many people.

Lake Perch is one of my absolute favorite kinds of fish and when I found out that Silver Lake Inn has all you can eat Lake Perch on Wednesdays for $11.95, I immediately planned to go the next available Wednesday. With my Lake Perch I chose seasoned potato wedges and for the starter I went with cream of cauliflower soup. The cream of cauliflower soup could have used cheese and/or bacon...really anything to contrast the plain flavor of the cauliflower. I didn't want to bother my waitress for any of those items, so I added salt and pepper to just give it something. Along with the soup came a fantastically soft and warm dinner roll, which ended up being the highlight of my dinner.Unexpectedly, the seasoned potato wedges were huge and unfortunately that meant that most of each bite was plain potato that masked the flavor of the seasoned outside portion. I specifically chose the wedges because I didn't want massive amounts of boring potato like steak fries usually have and baked potato definitely has. Smaller wedges would have allowed the seasoning to be the main flavor and not boring potato.I've never had Lake Perch as flavorless as theirs. The breading lacked any semblance of seasoning or spice and I have no clue where they get their perch from, but it wouldn't shock me to learn that it's like the runt of the litter that no one else wants. I got one re-order because 1) I was hoping the first plate was an anomaly, 2) the principal of ordering all you can eat, and 3) the hassle I went through before I was seated. Sadly the re-order was just as flavorless as the first order. I don't eat tartar sauce or use lemon on my fish, so eating dinner was almost chore-like.COVID-19 is still a thing, but you couldn't tell stepping into Silver Lake Inn. There wasn't an open space available in the entire place. Literally the bar area was three people deep and at one point a lady asked if she could put her drink down on my table while I was eating (completely unheard-of at 99.9% of restaurants) because she didn't want to hold it and/or spill if she was bumped. The entrance way was no better as patrons had to turn sideways and suck in their guts just to squeeze through. Of course no one at all was wearing masks and the idea of them social distancing/limited capacity is laughable.I waited 30 minutes for a table and regret that I stayed at all after all was said and done. This will be my one and only visit to Silver Lake Inn.

What a great find! Not even sure where to begin...Saturday night, friendly atmosphere, very small town rustic cozy place. Our party of 6 tried the gambit of various items, we tried the all you can eat barbecued and honey coated ribs, peel and eat shrimp, fried shrimp,, baked cod, stuff shrimp, scallops and fillet minion. All meals came with either salad or a bowl of French onion soup. The side salad that came with dinner was absolutely huge and filled with all kinds of vegetables. The French onion soup was not a cup but the full bowl, this was unexpected as you would normally get a tiny cup or a very small salad. Very nice. Of course rolls and crackers. Dinner was excellent all the way around, The honey and barbecued ribs were amazing and falling off the bone, shrimp was excellent, fresh and hot baked potato, fresh fish baked perfect and all other dishes were cooked perfectly. Drinks were also exceptional. For dessert we all shared 3 types of home cooked on site prepared cheesecake. Some of the best we've ever had. For 6 adults with full dinners and drinks was $165 before gratuity. The 5 star rating covers, atmosphere, service, excellent food and all in all a great value!

Food is good, service is fair, but the new owners have no idea how to set reservations they have a bad habit of over booking. If you're a party of 2 or 4 with a reservation half hour or more after the time you asked for. Just not the same as it used to be
