This liquor store is a few blocks from our new home. My wife stopped in to purchase some liquor and kindly asked if they had any spare boxes. The man behind the bulletproof glass barked out an emphatic no. Nothing else. She felt like she was in Amritsar and was carrying barber scissors. Proceeding to ask a further question about the wines in this ersatz store, he ignored her questions. I was about to take action, but my wife eased me out of the store carrying the overpriced bottle of Bourbon she bought as a gift for someone we were having dinner with. Siegel's Liquor perpetuates a horrific aspect of the lovely Bayview neighborhood. Please move to another state that represents your lack of graciousness and disdain for the community.

Friendly family owned business. They always have a huge beer selection and it's located in such a convenient spot. The parking lot can be a little tricky.

I love this place. And not just because it's the closest liquor store to my house.Sure, that's the biggest reason, but not the only reason. It's definitely family owned. The place is typically staffed by one of three people. Father. Mother. Or son. They're quite friendly, but maybe not immediately. But maybe one time YOU be the friendly person out of the gate and see how it goes. Even on days when they seem distracted or uninterested or busy, if I'm friendly, they're friendly. Cause they're nice.I know, when you walk in a liquor store, you aren't working. Employees should be trying to make the place happier. But, really? Come on. Is it a battle? Are you competing? Who has to be nice first? Come on, that would be gross if that's what you're doing. You don't do that, right? You are buying alcohol, presumably. There's something to make you optimistic. Unless you're buying it for terrible and dark reasons. But that's on you. Other reasons it's a good spot worth your love:1: Parking lot.1a: Close to (my) home.2: Decently large selection for the size of the shop.3: Lemons & Limes.4: Lots of single can/bottle options.5: Lots of mixers, washes, condiments, & party necessities.6: Shady/scary looking entrance.7: Easy to find.8: They are Packer fans.It ain't the greatest place in the world. But it's there. And so are you. And you need booze.

Siegel's stayed open during a blizzard. Automatic points. Their selection, while not uniformly varied, had enough to keep 4 freezing people happy and slightly loopy.AND THEY HAD BRECK CHRISTMAS ALE. A Colorado microbrewed seasonal. I almost had a fit when I saw ale from my home state. Then I drank said ale.

I love this place - super close to home and they always have what I want. (Plus I really like the family that runs/owns it) You can't go wrong!

It's not what it used to be but I can still get what I need here. Always friendly and helpful employees. The bullet proof counter area really kills it but hey, as long as you're safe from those crazy Bay View hipsters.

Great selection for a small family-owned place and prices are low. The staff are non-judgmental, helpful people. One of them has an awesome Salvador Dali mustache.
