Sherwood Family Restaurant

Sherwood Family Restaurant is a small place right next to the McDonald's and across the street from the Piggly Wiggly. It looks a bit worn down, but the food was good and the prices were great. My wife, daughter and I had breakfast for $26 before tip. The servers were friendly too.

A mixed bag today. Wife had breakfast with Hamburger patty ... turns out to be a beef sausage of some sort. She does not like sausage at all, and even though she was definitely surprised and unhappy with it, no effort to make it better. Eggs, potato, raisin toast were fine.My hot sandwich with pork loin was also mixed. The fresh mashed potatoes and the brown gravy were good. I had asked if the pork tenderloin ws hand breaded in house and was told "yes". It definitely seemed to be a minced patty breaded, like lots of frozen items. Tasty enough, but did not appear a breaded slice of pork loin fried golden brown.Server was efficient, and brought the food. Not really friendly, and appeared to mislead me on the menu ... not at all intentional that we could see. Decent value for the food they served, just unfortunate surprises in what we anticipated.

If your familiar with George Webb's this is pretty close to the same with atmosphere and food quality. Don't expect anything fancy, it's a local crowd and quaint atmosphere with little to no updates or parking lot repairs. It's just a place to get eating done.Bonus- they take Apple Pay

Looks like not much but food is classic diner. Fresh pies too. Easy access for the old folks and accessible bathroom.

Super friendly staff! French dip was yummy and a decent amount of meat. Had great chicken w rice soup, soda and French dip for less than $10.

Yeah this place sucks. I met this chick on this meet-some-friends app and she starts asking about my wife Elizabeth. Crazy lady. Anyways as I'm chowing down a beef burrito, wishing i could be chowing down a can of cold baked beans, this chick starts messaging me on messenger. Food wasnt that bad. ​

Wait staff was wonderful, polite, caring! Breakfast food was excellent!!!!Would definitely stop again when we are through this way.

The food was great, decided to stop somewhere on our way to devils lake and this place looked like a nice local diner. Service and food was great, didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff was friendly! Definitely would come back.

What a great little find on our drive. Prompt and friendly service the list of specials was long, and menu was plentiful. The atmosphere was down home and friendly; just what you'd hope for in a small Wisconsin town.
