Honestly, this is just as good (or just as mediocre) as the area overpriced Americanized sushi restaurants.
The two problems are terrible coffee and too much plastic.
the inside of a grocery store
So much unnecessary plastic at this store but the plastic wrapped plastic fork takes the cake.
They need to refresh the spinach...see the white speckled portion by the tongs
They added customer check out. Yech.

This is one of the best combined gasoline and grocery combinations I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. There is a high quality deli, lotto tickets, a good selection of groceries and frozen goods, very good coffee (for out of a machine), rotisserie chicken, and a good deli. It's mostly White-American but the sushi is as good as one finds in most local sushi restaurants, for a third of the price. Very clean and bright, most of the workers are pleasant and personable. I like the way they all seem to know how to wear their masks properly to prevent disease prevention.

When it was announced that Sendik's was going to be opening a location in Greendale, I was thrilled. Knowing their reputation for good service and quality, I knew this would be a great addition to the Greendale village. After waiting for what seemed like forever for this place to open, I absolutely had to come in on their opening day. To clarify: this is not your regular Sendik's store. This is one of their Fresh2Go stores. Essentially, it is a mini version of their full size stores. The service and quality, however, is not miniature at all. The staff here is very nice and helpful. Several times during my visit, I could hear the staff asking customers if they needed help with anything. When I arrived, the first thing I looked for was their sushi. I found it almost immediately. The selection was fantastic, and I promptly picked out 3 packages for my dinner. There's also a deli, a hot food bar, a liquor section and a produce section. And you can top off your gas tank while you're here, too. Thank you, Sendik's, for coming to Greendale. There will definitely be return trips here for me.

So impressed! Super, beautiful fresh produce, meats! The deli, bakery are tops with multiple offerings daily. And of course you can't beat Sendik's impeccable service. It's great to have a place to "pop in" and get some tasty, fresh eats.

Come to the deli and enjoy fresh, homemade paninis, salads, sandwiches, and many more fresh items! Located across from Walgreens, beat the hustle of 76th street and top off your tank! Need a quick party favor or few? Liquor department is small but busting with several exquisite wines and craft beers. Produce has fresh cut fruit and veggies, but if you have a sweet tooth, check out the Gelato station located on the bakery side! Need something for your sweetheart and pick up beautifully hand selected flowers already arranged! Welcome to Greendale Fresh2Go!

This place is really cool, it's like an upscale Speedway, because among other things, they sell gas. The location of this place is genius because there are no other grocery stores in the area. It's the kind of place you stop to get help with dinner in a rush. They have fresh produce, deli, gelato, other groceries, but what sets this place apart are the prepared foods. The have a salad and olive bar, as wells as, a hot table with casseroles, pasta, chicken, mac and cheese, etc. They also have some of the standard mini mart offerings like chips and tons of cold drinks. Sorry, no pump your own nacho cheese or roller dogs. I was surprised that the prices seemed very reasonable. The staff is really nice and friendly. I was a little let down that at 6pm the prepared foods looked dried out and pretty old. I wasn't gonna buy any. I believe had I been there at around 3-4 the food would have looked fantastic. I was able to pick up some groceries, but had the hot food looked better I would have spent even more money.

I frequently visit Sendick's in Greendale for location, takeout options and food of high quality, however, I concur with a previous comment regarding the lack of competent customer service. I recently had a deli employee literly throw my order at me. I will likely return, but with a bad taste in my mouth.
