Was in town for work and wanted somewhere to stop for a quick breakfast and this place did not disappoint. It was in a very unassuming location but was so cute and old school inside, it brought me back. I sat at the counter and got an order of pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were amazing. The bacon was a little too thin and crispy for my taste but I still love bacon. This was a great spot!

What's not to love?! Excellent service from a friendly, attentive server. We had a table up front where we could watch one woman making breakfast for every table in the place. At one point she had nine tickets (orders) up. I saw strips of bacon going onto the griddle (not precooked) and my scrambled eggs were obviously individual eggs that were scrambled (not premixed with filler, like restaurants often have). We consider ourselves pancake connoisseurs and these were perfection. They're served with a small cup of butter (vs many individually wrapped packers) and have a nice crisp to the edge. American fries were likely baked then diced and fried as they were firm but not undercooked. The sausage was juicy and flavorful. I ordered my English muffin toasted "dark" and it came that way. I'm not a coffee drinker, but the coffee drinkers at my table said the coffee was excellent. Everyone loved their food.

This restaurant is under new ownership. We were told by some of the regulars. They were very busy. We quickly got a table and waited a while for the waitress to take our order. Then we waited minimally a half hour for our food. The story is they are working off a small grill. While everyone was very pleasant and the customers were very friendly, It seemed like a very long time to wait. The coffee kept coming. which makes things easier. My omelet was good. My husband's was good for the most part. His scrambled weren't as fluffy as he likes themGood luck, AJ. You've got a great place. Just work out the kinksWe'll give it another try.

This is our go-to weekend morning diner when we have time for a quick bite out before we hit the weekend plans. My man gets a Denver omelette sub Turkey for the ham/nos cheese because he doesn't eat red meat or dairy. It's a weird order, but they happily comply and it tastes great. My regular is the perpetual weekend special - Eggs Benedict - generous helping of seemingly home made hollandaise and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Nothing flashy, but buttery lemon eggy yum on top of ham and an English muffin. The blueberry pancakes are the best in town, and my family is into pancakes! Something in that pancake batter gives it a unique flavor and perfect fluff with crispy edges. My only negative is sometimes the coffee is a little off - like metallic and not strong enough for me!

It's been awhile since I traveled the Eastern half of Wisconsin. There used to be a restaurant, 50 years ago, called Schreiners in Fond du lac that was a family dining restaurant with linens, china and silverware. Sadly, they closed due to Covid in 2020. When I found out this restaurant was in Appleton I wondered if they were related and decided to visit when I was on my way to a vacation. We stopped for a quick lunch, and ordered Reuben sandwich, Fried chicken sandwich and a Salad plate. The salad plate was very filling and had a delicious, bleu cheese dressing. The Reuben has good enough that when my son couldn't finish it all he took it in a carryout box and and enjoyed it a couple of days later. Mine was the Fried chicken sandwich, made with 2 large chicken strips and served on a homemade bun, cut in half. I never found out if the Diner was related to the traditional restaurant we loved, but the food was very good and definitely comfort food to get you down the road.

Very ordinary looking place, but the food is amazing. We had a young toddler who got Breakfast as did the other adult. I has baked fish and it was so good. I definitely recommend this. Great service and great food.

This place is not a "hole in the wall" at all, based on other reviews I've read. Everything's clean, waitresses are super friendly, and you can custom order tor breakfast np. I turned the Mexican omelette into a skillet on req, which is awesome, because i judge every restaurants meal on the Mexican skillet. The coffee isn't boiling, so i can actually drink it, and the food is great. Definitely visiting again.
